Warranty covered. Ford paid for 3 weeks of car rental. Sucked not having the Mach E, but Ford took care of us.
That’s great! Kinda shocked they cover rodent damage under warranty. Dealer must have gotten creative with the claim paperwork. ?

I have the premium warranty coverage, doubt that this made a difference.

Ford and the dealer stepped up. Sill TerHar Ford stood by us all the way. We had some challenges in our delivery last year, outside of the one yr shipping delay. That may have had an impact on the decision. Don't know for sure, just know my next vehicle will come from Sill TerHar Ford.

They killed my Escape, but because of that I bought my MME.

I now have a pest control service and Grandpa Gus packs in the frunk!

Some people think it doesn’t matter where you buy and then where you service your car.

I found out with my last car that it isn’t true.

My Chevy SS had the power steering go out exactly 3 weeks after my warranty expired.

I’m friends with the local Chevy dealer, but bought mine from 500 miles away (after asking my friends first of course, but they couldn’t get any in stock at the time).

For the out of warranty part we had to petition Chevy for an “allowance.” The allowance was literally a formula they use based on age of car, miles, then finally where you have been servicing it and where you bought it.

If the last two are the same place, they give you more of a discount on the out of warranty service.

That and the dealer you buy from is much more likely to “go to bat” for you when you need something that is a little out of the ordinary.

Oh crap. I am experiencing the exact same symptoms with my brand new 2024 Mustang Mach EX Premium (same beautiful blue color) that I have had less than 3 weeks. My car just got towed to the dealer last night. Sounds like I might be in for a nightmare if it is anything like this experience. I spent 4.5 hours waiting for and dealing with the tow. The tow truck driver was completely baffled.

My car is still sitting outside the service bays at my dealership where the tow truck driver left it last night because the service technicians also can't figure out how to get into the vehicle. I am guessing I am going to have to cancel the first road trip I was planning in the Mustang later this week to go see my brother and his family. Total bummer.

The funny thing is that the app is still reporting that my car is near my house, that the Vehicle is On, and the next scheduled departure time is 9:00 AM this morning (10 hours ago). None of that is accurate information about the car.

Don't keep us in suspense too long! I think we're all waiting to find out how the dealer got it opened, but also wishing you a quick resolution to your issue.
