Is there a technical or structural reason they have decided not to include ventilated seats?Hey, @Ford Motor Company , pay attention “No ventilated seat option”. What have we been telling you since BEFORE the vehicle was in production??? Sigh…
I did read that Ford felt it was not needed on the MME. I agree with them several other vehicles with leather seats I would stick to and to avoid that turn in the cooled seats. I simply don't experience that with the Mach E.Is there a technical or structural reason they have decided not to include ventilated seats?
The AC is plenty strong in this car, so seems like the cooling capacity would be there just fine.
I used to think ventilated seats were a gimmick and not necessary, then I rented a Ford Expedition with them and let me tell you driving through TN, MS and KY in the summer they were great. I can now see why they should be in a car at this price point. Is there a technical or structural reason they have decided not to include ventilated seats?

Thank you for posting Rob! That is a great read!
I’d trade the glass roof for ventilated seats all day long. I suppose they were trying mimick model Y with the big screen and roof instead of sticking with comfort options. They had to hit a price point with the vehicle.
Then add it as an option…..They had to hit a price point with the vehicle.
Then add it as an option…..
About the review though, why no independent performance testing yet on the 2024 GT??
Does Ford have another weird reviewer black out for the 2024?
It’s freakin August already. Many manufacturers are already starting 2025 models and we still can’t get details on a 2024…..
That’s still not a performance test.
They could have just made a “luxury package” or “titanium package” or something and bundled lots of cool stuff (ventilated seats, better audio system, dimming exterior rear view mirrors, etc). You can search back to my earliest posts where I and others have begged @Ford Motor Company for this. ?I’d trade the glass roof for ventilated seats all day long.
