Hey, @Ford Motor Company , pay attention “No ventilated seat option”. What have we been telling you since BEFORE the vehicle was in production??? Sigh…

Is there a technical or structural reason they have decided not to include ventilated seats?
The AC is plenty strong in this car, so seems like the cooling capacity would be there just fine.

I did read that Ford felt it was not needed on the MME. I agree with them several other vehicles with leather seats I would stick to and to avoid that turn in the cooled seats. I simply don't experience that with the Mach E.

I do agree that for someone in the market for a car it seems like a negative

I used to think ventilated seats were a gimmick and not necessary, then I rented a Ford Expedition with them and let me tell you driving through TN, MS and KY in the summer they were great. I can now see why they should be in a car at this price point.

My previous car, a Lincoln, had vented seats and I was afraid I'd miss them in the Mach-E. I've not missed them; the left-center AC vent can be pointed toward the lap to accomplish the same thing when necessary. And it's almost never necessary, even in south Louisiana. I'd probably use them if I had them, of course.

They had to hit a price point with the vehicle.

I’d trade the glass roof for ventilated seats all day long. I suppose they were trying mimick model Y with the big screen and roof instead of sticking with comfort options.

Then add it as an option…..

About the review though, why no independent performance testing yet on the 2024 GT??

Does Ford have another weird reviewer black out for the 2024?

It’s freakin August already. Many manufacturers are already starting 2025 models and we still can’t get details on a 2024…..

That’s still not a performance test.

Flooring the car with 65% charge on the street 0-60 with an extra passenger doesn’t tell us what it’s capable of.

Need the normal legit people to take a fully charged one to an official track (Motortrend, Car & Driver, Edmund’s etc). Give us the real 0-60, 1/4 mile, skidpad, figure 8 and braking tests like they do for pretty much every car ever made.

Just seems odd to be August and not have data on a 2024 model. I know it’s only been out for a couple months now, but they usually have this stuff even BEFORE the first ones get delivered.

Sheepskin seat covers are a viable alternative to ventilated seats. I just can't find anyone who's making them for the MME.

They could have just made a “luxury package” or “titanium package” or something and bundled lots of cool stuff (ventilated seats, better audio system, dimming exterior rear view mirrors, etc). You can search back to my earliest posts where I and others have begged @Ford Motor Company for this. ?
