Finally a 1/4 mile drag race and rolling race for a 2024 GT with performance package…….. but something DEFINITELY isn’t right.

We lost to the Model Y, Ioniq 5 N……. But the Acura ZDX S?????

12.9 1/4 mile. Makes no sense to me.

They said the closest charger is 1 hr away, so not full charge. But neither were the other cars.

Maybe they put it in unbridle extend or something?

Please someone else take a 2024 to the drag strip or give us a 1/4 mile draggy so we can see what’s what.

I'm not going to fret over 100% stock station wagons doing 12's with 0 drama.
I'm a child of the late 50's
That's simply insane ?
It’s supposed to be over 1 second faster than that though in the 1/4…….. which is a huge difference.

Based on the 3.4 to 60, then 12.9 1/4…… it fell on its face after 60 which the 2024 isn’t supposed to do. 12.9 is significantly slower than the 2021-2023 and more what i expect out of a 2024 premium 4x.

The driver commented on the video and advised it was in Unbridled Extend. He also commented that it was at least at 60% state charge.

Both of these make me side eye the test.
Wow. That Ioniq is no joke. It's running Model 3 Performance levels for a car quite a bit heavier. Impressive. The cost of it is still highly prohibitive.

Its range too. It's less than the Mach-E GT. Only rated for 221 miles for the 2025. And in the winter that would end up being like 180 or something. I know I sacrificed some range when I got the GT but I wouldn't give up THAT much.

Umm.. Unbridled Extended mode limits the max power. Not to be used for a drag race.... It is designed for track use so that it will give you less but more consistent power before derating.

This is mostly due to the tires. People are swapping out tires and getting as much range as the non-n AWD.

I know this. You know this.

However, both this guy and the channel have been arguing in comments about it. At this point I have trouble taking them seriously.

I scanned the comments but didn’t see that. Thanks for picking that up!

Such crap. They should run the test again.

Might as well have put an anchor out behind the Mach E.

The 60% charge will hurt as well, but all the vehicles were likely around the same. So at least that part was “fair.”

Unlikely. They don't even want to admit it was a problem.
Oh I seriously doubt they would do it again. It’s a YouTube video. A crap run gets more views and that’s all they care about.

I could understand this mistake in 2021 (multiple reviewers made that mistake).

But in 2024?? This should be WELL known by now.
