2024 GT optional performance upgrade

We know from the press release the GT will be the “fastest Mach E 0-60” with the optional performance upgrade.

We also know it’ll cost $995 from price sheets sent to dealers, posted here-

What we don’t know? Will 2021-2023 have this option and what the actual power upgrade is.

We also can assume the upgrade has nothing to do with the timed power limits on 2021-2023 as those don’t affect 0-60 times.

Posting this here so hopefully someone who gets details can fill us in.

They didn’t say.

The green 2024 at the car shows does have the GTPE seats. Not sure what to make of that though.

You’re assuming the marketing department uses logic.

These are the kind of people that use phrases like “new and improved!” Something can’t be both new and improved.

That said, the 2024 can be the fastest as long as either it gets the upgrade first, or it’s a tie for the fastest when we get the upgrade.

My guess? Even if we do get the upgrade, it may get the larger motor from the Rally with 650 lb/ft of tq and it could still be faster than us.

Also check your window sticker, you may already have it. When I looked at available GTs on order, every single one had that box checked.
