MME GT Performance upgrade costs $1295?

I purchased my 2025 Magenta GT and am planning to purchase the software performance upgrade to gain the extra torque. Based on everything I had read I was expecting to pay $995. When I went to make my purchase in the Ford app it says the cost is $1295 (plus tax, for a total of just over $1400). Does this sound correct? Does the price ever change or do they ever run "specials?"

Probably whatever the price is at time of activation. It probably went up when they released the 2026 piercing.

When it came out, they had two prices:
1. $995 plus tax if you didn’t order it from factory or you didn’t upgrade your wheels
2. $795 if you ordered it from factory AND upgraded your wheels

I paid $995 plus tax to install after delivery, despite having upgraded wheels.

But get it anyway. It’s well worth it.

Every option on the car now costs more. I purchased the rubber mats for $240 four years ago. They now cost a gazilion dollars

I've been planning on getting the upgrade since long before I actually purchased the vehicle and I still plan to do so. It's just irritating that it's an extra $300 for no reason other than "because we can."

I hate to break it to you, but you also need summer tires to get the full effect. That’s another $2,000

Or you need wider wheels and wider all-season tires. I went with 20x9.5" rims and 275 All-Season UHP tires. Straight line performance is slightly better than with the Summer UHP tires and cornering is noticeably better.

Steve, you guys knew what you were after and bought the car with the cheapo flower wheels. Because your weather is very moderate in California, you can get nice performance from an all season. I need to equip with winters anyway. I thought it would be silly to have winter and all season. So I upgraded to a summer. Btw, the pirelli p0 4th gen are max performance. I am very pleased with them. I drive like a monkey and still have some nice tread good for another 2-3 years.
