Switch on inside in front of the driver’s door

The switch has an icon that appears to say that if you press twice the rear hatch will open. I’ve tried it a thousand times… it does nothing
Anyone know what it’s supposed to do

If by "switch" you mean lever, then mine opens the frunk.

Have you tried pulling it (twice)?

There is a release LEVER (not switch) for the frunk, that you can only use if the front door is open. You pull it twice to open the frunk.

If that's not what you are referring to, then I suggest you post a picture.

No, I guess I should but the lock is electrically activated not like the hood release of a gas car that is attached to a cable that mechanically releases the hood

Sorry, still not sure what you're talking about. If you're talking about the hood release lever, it's connected to a cable.

The lever we refer to is attached to a CABLE, which works MECHANICALLY.

As innocuous as this thread is, I did learn that the driver's door HAS to be open for this lever to work.
