I was finally able to get my 23.5 GTP on a road trip this last weekend. As the title implies, I left from Gaithersburg MD and took 200 to 95,went through the baltimore harbor tunnel, made my way over to Delmar and then crossed the Deleware into New Joisy. Stopped off on black horse pike by a shop-rite to charge at an EV go.
Not bad. 40% to 93% in 42 minutes 152kwh at peak and a Mc Ds double cheeseburger for me.
Take the express way to AC park my car for 3 days at 73% charge and proceed to lose $300 and enjoy some of the best dining of the year (no joke, actually had some good food)
The drive down I mostly used cruise control and begrudgingly stayed in the right lane, playing around with the speed from 65 to 75 and checking my mi/kw... 2.7 to 3. Weather right around 70. Mostly cloudy. Heavy rain for a bit in Deleware.
Went to grab my car to leave.
No charge loss. Nice.
Feeling a little more confident, spent some time in the left lane on my way to the glocouster outlets for a quick charge to make it home.
Electrify America
High 90's for charge rate
51 - 93 in 38 minutes
Starbucks for me.
Drove home with a lead foot outside of traffic and got there with a 25% charge. 2.5 mi/kw
All in All the car preformed admirable. As soon as I get my NACS adapter, the world is my oyster.
The confidence this car inspires on the open road is something. The adaptive cruise control also worked great except one flaw, I'm hoping is an option I overlooked, everytime the speed limit changed the car braked a little hard instead of coasting down. Blasting down 95 on the way home however was a delight. This car was made to shoot the gap.
