There’s a decent chance that the personalized plate with “Mach-e” on is not on a Mach-e in Hawaii. That name was available for over a year after the Mme came out as BEVs and plug in hybrids were required to have “Electric Vehicle “ plates until recently. Those plates cannot be personalized. Would be nice to see it on a Mach-e though.

Hawaii switched from requiring EV plates a bit under 2 years ago now. It was done to allow people to have the plates benefiting the Polynesian Voyaging Society but the law was poorly written.

The difference is probably very subtle from the actual pronunciation, but I read that one in a Boston accent.

Yea. I never understood why people block out license plates when they post photos. I'm not clear on what risk is being covered.

Funny, I read that in a Maine accent. A few of my neighbors are from the Boston area and maintain their California pretty well. One of them was describing something in a very animated fashion the other day and finished with “pardon my Boston for coming out.” ??
