Bought a gently used '23 GT 6 weeks go. Love it! I've driven 2k miles , couple road trips with DCFC (including Tesla charging). I'm finding this car the perfect bridge from my practical minivan dad days to new empty nester. I've rediscovered the joy of driving fast.

Wanted to contribute to this forum in a little way: Pay attention to your 12v battery when it's getting to that 36 month period (looking at you '21 model year owners!). The battery could last another 3 years. Or it could be the source of weird vehicle behavior. In the case of my Volt, the whole vehicle was randomly shutting down while driving at speed (dangerous failure mode - but that's another story for another post). The guy at AutoZone thought I was crazy replacing the battery because those guys are still really into cold-cranking amps. Admittedly, it looked brand new because it doesn't see any heat, oil, grease, etc... I swapped it out with new and haven't had the issue since. Just turned over to 100k miles and it's my wife's daily commuter. So with respect to the MME, consider that $300 preventative maintenance investment every 3 years or so.

I appreciate all in this forum who've provided guidance for me on our new MME... (aka, Gandalf).

Awesome and welcome! I also made the jump a few years ago from a 2014 Chevy Volt. Love the car and I have no regrets. Enjoy!

I had two Volts and a Bolt before bolting to my 2021 Mach e Premium Ext. Love the Mach e but also liked the Volt. Bolt was ok until the battery fiasco. Fortunately, GM bought the Bolt back.

The bolt buyback almost completely paid for my MachE, only an additional 4k out of pocket. I ended up getting a used Bolt premier as our 2nd car, under $10k, it was a no brainier. The Bolt recall was the best deal for me!

Same here. I received enough buyback from GM that I basically drove the Bolt for three years for $0.

They gave me a swap which I traded towards the MME and I was given $13k more than my Bolt cost.

Also can over from Volt. I thought the Volt was a great car. 130000 miles in though I was looking to change cars going into retirement.
We had reserved a Blazer but by the time they were shipping the RS had gone up $15000, they killed Apple Car Play, and did not offer Supercruise. I cancelled and went to the Ford shop test drove a Premium and a GT. The GT is a similar spec to the RS so I bought it.

The Volt went to our daughter and is the nanny car for grandson.

Welcome aboard. I had a 2016 Chevy Volt for 7 years and gave it to my daughter when I bought my '22 Premium AWD. I really liked the Volt, due to its efficiency and range...but I love the Mach-E as a well rounded vehicle (speed, torque).

Other than tires and batteries, the Volt is still holding up after almost 10 years and 75K miles. Battery degradation is at about 10%, or half of what was predicted originally at 2% loss a year.

Good luck and hope you continue loving that GT.

Welcome! Got my 2024 a week ago and love it. Thanks for the battery tip. I did the 36 month lease. So, I’m hoping I’ll be fine.

I traded in my 2014 Volt with 130k miles for my 2023 Mach E Premium AWD May 2024 (I bought the Volt with 51k miles for $11.8k December 2016 and it served me well). I got the Mach E for $32K with 16k miles and I now have 24k miles no problems. My daughter still has her 2014 Volt and I also have my 2000 Honda Insight Citrus that I drive on nasty winter days to keep the Mach E a little cleaner!
