Anyone drive a Dodge Charger EV yet? Looks fun.

I am aware that EV pundits (e.g Kyle) do not like it, since they are comparing it to the best current EVs and using EV metrics, BUT I would enjoy test-driving one, gotta say. I like the look of it. Can just turn off the Borla exhaust noise. That's why I thought this review felt closer to useful for me.

Yes, it is too expensive, and almost certainly it would be a disaster getting something fixed at the Dealership Service Center, and in the first few years there will be many glitches, I predict, but still, glad it is out there (likely make our experiences at Ford Service Centers a dream in comparison, lol, and happy I have my Mach-e).

Great review.

I haven't driven one and don't have a ton of interest in owning one, but I do appreciate its place in the EV lineup.

I don't understand the noise some people seem to want, and I wouldn't love hearing it next to me at a stop light. But if that's what some people find compelling, good for them.

I am too happy with the Mustang to consider replacing it with anything else.

I would definitely like to drive one. A musician I work with is a dedicated Dodge Charger fan and he's always showing up to gigs looking cool with a surprisingly large amount of gear packed in. I like the image and like riding in his car. He's owned a few in the last few years, he replaced an old one, and then the replacement got hammered by hail and written off.

I'm really souring on Kyle's "reviews", if it is not an exact carbon copy of a Model 3 or Model Y then he doesn't like it and nobody should ever buy it for any reason. His reviews are based almost exclusively on the 0-60 time, whether there are any buttons or not, and the price of the vehicle.

Maybe (and I know this will absolutely SHOCK you to learn), grandma is not really interested in drag-racing grandpa. Also maybe, (another shocker), mom on the way with her kids and their friends to the soccer game don't really give a flip about how "pretty" the giant screen is, and whether there is a start button or not.

Plenty of buyers, plenty of needs, I agree it's nice that someone is attempting an EV in a true muscle car format.

Never liked boxy vehicles. I don't know why Stellantis/Dodge decide to electrify a Charger for its first EV foray. Or was the Dodge Ram the first EV? Nonetheless, I feel muscle cars are muscle cars because of its inherent old-school characteristics.

This looks like another dud from a failing automaker. The reviews for this Charger EV are generally poor not just from Kyle. Funny enough Youtube followed up his video with that of the Xiaomi SU7. It seems pretty awesome. Especially considering it is the first vehicle let alone an EV from a company that makes cellphones. I think Jim Farley has one and admitted to not giving it up. ?

Conspiracy theorists might conject that US automakers (sans Tesla) are purposefully creating inferior EVs to demonstrate why ICE is still better.

I love the styling and its availability as a coupe. I'd happily do one, Kyle Connor be damned (I like Kyle a lot but I think he walked into this review with some heavy prejudices).

My fondest hope is that the EV Charger enjoys better-than-expected sales just because there's no other "real" coupe EV out there right now and it prods Ford to offer a similar MME coupe.

It's much easier to build a greenfield business than it is to steer a legacy business into new tech.

I'm surprised it's taken this long to have an EV sports car. The power/torque of an EV makes them sporty. But most have been SUV or sedan based (or $$/supercar). It will be interesting to see how this sells and what others bring to market next.

I'm not sure how sporty you can call that thing based on the fact that its as heavy as a Tahoe and as wide as an F-150.

I'm not too impressed with the performance of R/T or Scat Pack versions they've released so far, but the Banshee could be interesting. Its not a car I'd ever own but... I do love the styling.
