Anyone got this on the FordPass ?

Not yet but I have spoken with UK BEV team who advised that the keys are being released in batches (presumably to avoid the dealers being overwhelmed)

Update: just booked mine in for the key replacement on 4 February plus an outstanding recall and an investigation into the front camera. Whenever I approach a roundabout a message flashes up stating that roadworks are ahead - don’t know if this is an error
or not but I would rather have this investigated before my 3 year warranty expires in November. I have also made a note to have the annual inspection done before the warranty goes in case the 12v battery requires replacement.

What is this about? Why are keys being replaced?

In the UK at least 21 and 22 plates were supplied with Ford keys whereas subsequent years had the pukka Mustang keys with the additional frunk release button. This was due to additional insurance security requirements here Inunderstand. Ford is now running a Customer Service programme to replace the Ford keys foc with the Mustang keys. I don’t know if this is the same in the States.

This.

I was just about to chime in, but you beat me to it.

The UK insurance regulators had some specific keyfob concerns with "transponder keys". So at the time the cars were initially delivered they were sold with a dumbed down keyfob that was deemed less likely to allow the car to be stolen. If I recall correctly (and feel free to correct me here) I thought I read where they were the same fobs as a Fiesta or similar. So apparently now those concerns have been somehow mitigated? And I guess Ford is now going to give out newer Mustang themed key fobs with frunk release buttons.

Here in North America we still do not have Ford issued MME fobs with frunk buttons, just one for the rear hatch (at least on my '23 model that's what I got). It is however well known that a Ford F-150 Lightning keyfob works just fine as a substitute, and it does have a frunk button. So that's what I use.

With the new, useless nano-frunk, there really is no longer a need to be able to remotely open it ?

Booked in for the 27th, 3 years later but welcome add to our first edition!
We received something similar a while back in the US. 2021s came with only one fob and we received a second for free.

Maybe I have it wrong about the frunk button - perhaps it will be as per the USA ie the trunk button as on the Ford keys? I will let you know once I actually get the key. If any UK member who already has the Mustang keys can you sing out please.

Other parts of Europe have the frunk button, so I wouldn't be surprised if your new fobs have it as well.

But in the UK they never even got the same keyfob we had in the first place.
