Mach-E Key Fob Mustang Emblem....

Howdy Folks,

My 2023 Mach-E Key fobs have the awesome Electric Mustang emblem on the back. This is the one that has the horizontal lines and is filled-in black. Looks like the emblem on the front of Mach-E. However, the black color (paint?) has started to rub-off, and this makes me sad every time I see my fob. Is it possible to re-color (paint) or replace the emblem? I mean does Ford sell just that part that I could purchase? Thanks!

nail polish remover to get the rest of the paint out, I suggest using a q-tip in order to keep as little of the remover as possible from getting on the plastic part. then lay it flat, dump in the color of nail polish you want it to be and leave it sitting there for about 3 days so the paint hardens. Might have to do it twice.

Ebay or your dealer can get you a new case if you want to go that route (prob. $40)

My first Mach-E came with the non Mach-E emblem on the key fob (silver 3D vs black with lines). I found the right part number and tried to get a replacement battery cover, but Ford will not sell fob parts. They will sell you a whole new fob that they program, but no parts.

The new Dark Horse fob still comes with the standard mustang horse too. The cost of putting specific designs on the back of a fob just isn't economically sound.

I am yet to have a key fob for any car that doesn’t have peeling paint or scratches after a few years. But I don’t care because it goes in my pocket.

A long time ago, when Ford owned both Volvo and Aston Martin, the Aston Martin key fobs were covered in leather. Apparently, the leather peeled off some of the Aston Martin key fobs, revealing Volvo-branded key fobs beneath. Aston Martin owners were NOT amused ???

Apologies, UK don’t get PAAK. Our insurance industry don’t allow it. They allow dodgy key fobs that enable thieves to steal cars using signal grabbers but not secure PAAK system??‍
