Well if it's such a big improvement, what's the holdup. Start pushing the updates for the people that are paying for the improvements and not getting them. Apparently it's not all roses and champagne.

Those 12 people really love it.
As one of the 12 people that have it: It is a huge improvement from BC 1.0; that is for sure. People coming from 1.2 will see some stability improvements. Those coming from BC 1.3 will have a little improvement of stability and gain the predictive speed feature and the in-lane repositioning feature.

By stability, I mean it does not ask you to grab the wheel as often and the lane centering is better, too.

Hi @Ford Motor Company, I have a Mach-E First Edition, and still haven't seen 1.3 come through my updates. I have had auto-updates turned on since day 1 of owning the car. Are First Editions going to be able to receive the update?

Hi owners! The Ford BlueCruise 1.3 software update is coming soon to Mustang Mach-Es equipped with BlueCruise and we want to make sure you are getting all of the latest and greatest new features and improvements like this delivered to your vehicle.

As a friendly reminder make sure you:
  1. Have Automatic Software Updates turned ON – this keeps updates coming as they roll out.
  2. Set a Recurring Schedule – software updates may happen seamlessly in the background while you are driving, while others may require you to park and exit your vehicle so set the schedule for a time when you know you won’t need to drive the vehicle, like overnight.
Below is a quick step-by-step and here is a video of how to do this and some things to know about software updates on your vehicle.

How-To Guide:
Turn ON Automatic Software Updates
  • Go to “Settings” on your vehicle’s SYNC screen
  • Choose “Software Updates”
  • Toggle “Automatic Updates” to ON
Set a Recurring Schedule
  • Go to “Settings” on your vehicle’s SYNC screen
  • Choose “Software Updates”
  • Press “Schedule Updates” or “Recurring Update Schedule”
Things to Know:
  • Don’t skip your Ford Power-Up software updates – this impacts all future updates
  • If an update requires you to be parked, you will receive a reminder in your vehicle (24 hours prior) and in your FordPass App. You can reschedule up to 2 mins before the update begins.
  • Software updates are not deployed to all vehicles at the same time and are done on a rolling basis – for example, your neighbor might get an update before you do.
  • While not required, we recommend connecting to Wi-Fi for an improved update experience. If Wi-Fi is not available, your update will be delivered using the built-in cellular connection with your vehicle modem.
So, turn ON your Automatic Software Updates, set your schedule and let the updates roll in!
Hello @Ford Motor Company! I’m following up on this post from 16 months ago. I renewed my subscription to BC for an additional three years back in December 2023 based on your promise. But my 2021, enrolled in EAP, is still stuck on BC1.0. Isn’t it past time that you initiated a CSP for dealers to update 2021 software?

Almost 1.5 years past the official announcement that BC 1.3 is coming to all MMEs, and most 2021 Job 1 cars are still waiting. Still wonder why Ford gets all the hate and frustration? This is worse than the 1.0 launch.

Merry Christmas @Ford Motor Company May you get coal in your stockings next year.

What Ford heard you say: "Stop saying you're going to update older cars"
What that means to Ford: "We can avoid a lot of negative feedback AND expense if we stop worrying about updating older cars"

If Ford wants to make subscription services like BC profitable, it is going to have to (1) set reasonable pricing, and (2) keep older vehicles up to date.

To reduce negativity:

1. Keep promises made to buyers in a timely manner.
2. Timely should be in weeks or months, not years or decades.
3. Keeping up to date on a software driven vehicle such as the 2021 MME should not require buying a newer model every few years. This is a major purchase, not a cell phone.
