This is neato, long overdue as it was dumb that it was not available... and I hope that it's expanded soon so include your car's entire history of updates going back however long.

So, for my report it says that I have "SYNC Generation SYNC 4".
But my car's window sticker says Sync 4a. 2023 MY MME GTPE, prodution date around late 11/2022, delivered end of 12/2022.

Are Sync 4 and Sync 4a the same thing? I would think think not.
Or is ford's site lumping them together?

Sync 4 is landscape. Sync 4A is portrait. Otherwise, they are very similar. ??

I thought that it was a newer iteration with upgraded Specs: faster CPU, more memory, etc., but that was just an assumption based on things like Pixel phones ?

is there any workaround for the “your vehicle does not feature the technology…” problem? i’ve tried to see the updates about 10 times now and only once did it show me the list, all the other times i’ve received this error.

well, it is working again for my 2023 GTPE. i guess all these problems are on ford's servers. 2024 has never had an update and that's reflected on the page.

strangely for the 2023 it does not show a SYNC version number but for the 2024 it does.

All Mach Es have Sync4a.

eTransit and lower spec Lightnings operate Sync4 on a 12" landscape screen. I think this is true of some other Fords as well.

The funny thing is they are very different systems. Sync 4 is an updated Sync 3. Sync 4s is entirely different. However, Syncs 3, 4, and 4a all run on the QNX (BlackBerry) OS.

Mine is still brain dead, and yes auto updates are on.

It’s been more than 90 days since your vehicle was updated.

The Software Update History & Release Notes currently only provides a report for the last 90 days of enhancements to your vehicle, so make sure to check back to see how your vehicle is improving over time.

I couldn't find this on the website today last update was the November 21st update.
Have they disabled this? I have been able to see it in the past and the link is there to "check your software update" but it just goes to a PR page now.
