I wonder if they could do L2 auto lock based on charging location? On the Advanced page, allow selection of max charge rate as well as "L2 lock enabled". So if I save my home charging location I could uncheck the box and it would fit the scenario listed above (multi home chargers and wanting to disconnect without searching for keys) but also allow you to auto lock L2 charging if you are at a public charger like a hotel, etc.

Will any or all of these features be made available to previous Mach-E model years?
Is it common for them to drop messages like these and not apply to current or recent models? Do they abandon prior years as soon as new is developed? Really really hope my purchase of a new 24 last week isn’t already obsolete for updates...

Why can’t we also lock the port when L1/2 charging? Maybe a setting in the car to enable this feature? I don’t want people to interrupt my charging when I’m not near the car.
It’s for fast charging only because it requires an adapter which someone could swipe from you.

Charge port locking is already present in latest software. So hopefully everyone gets that eventually. I’m going to guess the other stuff is 2025 only because of the new UI.

I’m glad they added these features, but the charge rate display belongs in the cluster IMO, not the main screen. That way it’s always visible when using other apps on the touchscreen.
It is? Where? I have missed it if it is.
thanks

Because the heater is not really big enough to heat the cabin and the battery at the same time. If they did that, the cabin might still be cold after 15 minutes of remote HVAC.
That makes sense. Does this also mean that on a really cold morning when you leave without a destination time set there is no heat diverted to the battery until the cabin reaches its set temperature and is that a good thing? thanks

Essentially yes, heat is only diverted when there is not a full heat load. On a really cold morning, there may be no extra heat available for the battery so it will remain cold.

I also just now read the thread on the hack to pre-condition with the app by setting the cabin temp t lo. I still have this question. If you turn on climate in the app and the cabin reaches the set value in a few minutes (car in garage, temp in mid 30's to low 40's), then will battery conditioning begin?

Abandon?

The very first Mach-E ever built for retail sale is still receiving feature and refinement software updates. To this very day.
By whom? We '21er's haven't seen anything since mid-year last year.

"We" doesn't represent all 21er's though.
Nor does the word Abandon fit, as frustrating as waiting certainly has been for many.
What 21er's are getting them & how?

The number of threads regarding 21'rs getting software updates recently is fairly significant. Especially the last 60 days.
You haven't stumbled on any?

Even the infamous Bluecruise 1.x update has made to multiple members here. Non-early access members as well.

I don't visit here nearly as much as I once did.

Ford has a bad tendency to be vague on many things.
Search for the word "soon" and your search responses will blow up.
