I apologize if there is already a thread on this (searched and did not find one). Has anyone noticed when setting up charging in the vehicle rather than the app - it does not allow increments of 5? I can set to max charge of 70 or 80% - but not 75. Obviously not a huge deal - just seemed odd.

I’ve noticed this, I would really like to charge to 75, but it’s not an option….

Yes - same here. All good. Just curious if everyone else was having the same experience.

Anyone have issues in FordPass when changing the charge setting % (outside of normal charge time schedule) from let's say change from 85% to 100% it works, however the next time you charge it (outside of normal charge time - clicking on "start now") it remains at 100%, and when you try to change it back to 85% it "attempts" to make the change back to 85%, but after about 30 seconds, the app goes back to 100%.

In short: when using "start now" to charge (outside of normal charge schedule) there is difficulty with FordPass allowing the charge % setting to change.

Tried both far away from the car, and within Bluetooth range....makes no difference.

From my understanding, you can only change the target charge percentage while it is actively charging. Otherwise it looks like it attempts to and fails.

Yes, I was changing the target charge while it was charging (from 100% to 85%) , and it would "attempt" to go to 85%, but then after about 30 seconds or so the target charge would change back to 100%, as if the request did not go through.

I had no issues changing the target from 85% to 100% while it was charging, but getting it to go back to 85% is where it wont' make the change. Odd.

Hrmm, my FordPass starts at 50 and incrementally goes up by 10 until you get to 80, then it increments by 5.

maybe I should delete the location?
Oh. I didn’t try that. I just went up by 5 from my current setting of 90.

I recently tried changing my charge percentage by increments of one and discovered It won't let me, at least not with the Fordpass app.

My Mach-E does this weird thing where it charges the battery to one percent less than what I set it to. If I set it to 80%, it only charges to 79%. I was going to try setting the charge point to 81% and see if it would go to 80%.

That’s normal. I think if you set the car to 80% then it charges to 79.5 (80) Then you turn on the car, it draws power and/or the battery temperature changes and now you’re at 79.4 (79).

I find if I remote start the car while plugged in the battery percentage will hold at my set level. But either way it’s not a problem.

Thanks for the info! It drives my OCD crazy, but good to know it's normal and not a weird glitch. Still wish we had the option to set charge by increments of 1%. Maybe in a future update.?‍♂

If I load the SOC PID, there is a value on the right side of the decimal, in increments of .5

So as mentioned above, when you set your target SOC to 80%, it stops charging the moment 79.5% jumps to 80%. If it stopped at 80.5%, at least you could get out of the driveway before your freshly charged car dropped to 79. ? (which on the PID is 79.5%)

Correct, 75% is not an option on the Mach-E.

Yeah I wish they would raise the charge target slightly by 0.5% so it will settle in at the correct value after cell voltage relaxation. So it will charge to 80.5% and stop, then when you come back to it the next morning it's at 80.0% or 79.5%.
