Agreed. It's really the only negative I have on the car so far. The phone as a key isn't reliable yet. Thankfully, that should be fixable by software updates.
Hopefully and hopefully fast. I'm not really willing to carry the fob around, I would expect if they launched PAAK it would work 100.0%. I guess the PIN is a fallback. What phone/phone OS do you have, if you don't mind me asking?

The boss prefers card board boxes. I cannot stand them. My goal is to use the frunk with its supplied dividers. Should that not work, then I look into the trunk "organizers".

Doesn't the phone as key mean that the car unlocks itself as you approach. No need to reach into your pocket for a FOB or phone. And the rear lift gate can be opened with your foot. Even if your hands are full of grocery bags, you should be able to open all four doors and the trunk without putting them down. The only time you'd really need to use your phone would be to access the features that aren't on the FOB (climate control, windows down, etc.). The manual double pull required to open the frunk makes me think that there will be no electrical release that can be remotely activated.

I'm curious to see how the phone lock/unlock functions works when it's unintentional. If I'm playing with the kids in the front yard, will my car lock/unlock every time I run by it? I suppose I could leave my phone inside the house - but I'm not sure that humans are capable of such a thing :)
If the lift gate only requires a wag of the foot, does the Frunk require an elbow to the hood?
Ford Mustang Mach-E I just received my Mach-E First Edition (in California)! Dolph-Ziggler-elbow-drop-

We'll try the phone first to see if it's dependable enough. I would prefer 2 fobs too, but we always have our phones with us so if that actually works just as well for proximity detection, we'll probably just do that (for one of us).

It helps that the door code can be used to start/drive the car too (or so we've heard). Never know when a phone may die or get lost.

And if PAAK does work great, then there is one plus -- no damn panic button setting the alarm off!
You're right. The great think about the Mach E is you can use PAAK and forget about the fob.
Now you can use your phone to butt-panic your car!

see now "butt-panic" is exactly the kind of thing I'd have to write a ticket for if I were writing tickets at the moment ??????

Sorry if someone asked before. Does the key say Ford or mustang? Read somewhere that the pre production has Ford but it should be mustang.
