Ford made good on a promise today. I ordered a CCS to NACS adapter on Aug 10 [edit… I said July earlier], and it just arrived today. Yes, that’s five months, but given the backlog and the stories I hear, I’d say it’s faster than I expected.

For what it’s worth, I didn’t miss the adapter. My trips have so far been well served by CCS infrastructure. I probably missed the worst of the CCS rollout. Still, excited to give Tesla a try.

I bought my Mach-E on 8/31/2024 and ordered the adapter on 9/1/2024 and have not received it yet. Based on when you got yours, I would suspect that I have about another month to wait. The web page says that it is estimated to ship in January 2025. It has been slowly bumping up each month, but so far it hasn't switched to February.

Shortly after we got the car, we took a trip down to LA and I mostly used Electrify America stations, and they worked great for us. Not so good of luck at my testing here in San Jose for EVGo, quite slow, and when I tried one in the LA area the first one, I tried wasn't working, but had no indication that it was broken. Another guy returned to unplug his car and said it didn't work for him either. Wish I would have had something to stick on it to let others know. And the one that did work was also slow.

And another thing that was a bit of a pain with EVGo was not being able to use "Plug and Charge" like we can do on Electrify America.

We don't take long trips very often, so this doesn't really affect us, but given how many Electrify America stations are in this area, I don't think it would matter to us anyways.

My experience too, and I think it shows how fast other networks are catching up. In a broad sense, I’m glad for all that the adaptor represents. It’s a growing pain toward a national standard. And yes, I’m sure that it will add convenience. But as a later adopter, my experience with the CCS network has been demonstrably fine.

It will be really nice when all the cars are using the same connector. One turnoff for me with a Tesla charger is the fact that they don't all have the longer cables and assume that the charger port is going to be in same location as an ICE car's gas cap. I actually really like the fact that the Mach-E has the charge port in the front since that is the best place for me in the garage. This is one thing that is radically different from owning a EV over an ICE car, most people in the US will be charging mostly at home, and as such this is what is most important for that arrangement.

Just received mine minutes ago. I ordered the end of June. Order number 90121XXX, so I figured this summer. Never did receive an email. Don't think it is the Lectron. It says Ford and made in China. It has a Ford instruction pamphlet and packaged in a Ford, Our Gift, Just For You box with a personally written and signed note from Jim Farley. I may never use it though. In eight months ownership, 6000 miles, I have only DCFS charged twice, at a Ford dealer and an EA site, ~10 kWh each time to test locations.

Ordered Aug 14, FedEx was supposed to deliver it on Thursday but ice on the local roads has delayed the delivery.

And I had already bought a Lectron adapter back in August. I do road trips and primarily rely on Tesla Superchargers.

It’s the Lectron version if it says Ford. Ford worked with Lectron for this particular version and put their name on it. The Tesla manufactured ones have no obvious branding.

I got mine today. Lectron version/Ford branded. Interesting enough I checked the status and it still said it was still estimated to be delivered in January. :)

Yes they shipped 60k+ in the last month as indicated by the new thread started daily of someone getting it. Please provide pictures of the same box everyone else got for extra proof that you really really did get it.

Tried it out! The Ford end of the interaction was super easy. I used the in car Public Charging App, I said “I’m Here,” and I plugged in.

I didn’t enjoy the short cables on the Tesla side of the interaction. I used EA and EVGO up until now and I have had a better experience. So I think Tesla SC will be good in a pinch, but I won’t prioritize superchargers. ?‍♂

I bought my used 2021 in September 2024, and got my adapter yesterday.

One thing I have been curious about is the cost. Is it the same or more or less than at Electrify America?

BTW at Electrify America I don't even do anything other than plug in and then on the charger display they want you to press Accept. I have seen others mention that with the SuperCharger because they don't even have a display you just plug in and it chargers, which is one step less than on a Tesla because they have to OK it in the Tesla App.

Sounds like they are pretty close to being completely caught up on this. If I remember correctly, Ford dropped the free adapter offer not to long after I got mine ordered.
