Unfortunately not. I had my vehicle at the dealer for almost 3 weeks and they were unable to solve the issue. I'll try and list what they did to troubleshoot. They did however, gladly charge me for troubleshooting without a fix.Any update on this guys? I got a friend with the same exact issue ..
What happens when you attempt to update the maps location?Still no updates from Ford on a cause for this. Just wanted to post what does and doesn't work in Fordpass to see if someone here might be able to make sense of it.
Once vehicle sits for ~30 min and "goes to sleep"
Things that do work:
Lock/Unlock
Bluetooth Controls (Windows/Tailgate/Frunk)
Things that don't work:
Remote Climate
Starting Charge
Update Location
Honk horn/Flash Lights
I've tried opening the tailgate, rolling down windows from the app to see if it wakes up the vehicle, but it does not. The only way to get all the Fordpass features operable again is to go out to the car and open the door.
Spinning wheel that ultimately times out. What happens when you attempt to update the maps location?
What time does it show for the map's last update?Spinning wheel that ultimately times out.
Whatever time the vehicle went to sleepWhat time does it show for the map's last update?
I had done that before sending it to the dealer, and they did it there as well.Yeah, I would disconnect the 12v battery for 60 seconds...
How is Bluetooth related here..? FordPass works over cloud if Bluetooth not connected to car...When the car won’t respond look at the bluetooth settings on your phone. I believe the one with your “VIN# MACH E” is what is used for the Ford Pass App connection. It should show connected all the time. The other one “Mustang Mach E” should only be connected when when the bluetooth features of the phone and Mach E are active…ie phone calls, media etc.
If the “VIN# MACHE E” is not connected or not showing you may have a problem with the RFA (bluetooth) module.
Like black_stang said I don’t think we are dealing with a Bluetooth issue here. My Bluetooth features in Fordpass work fine. It’s the features that try to communicate through cellular to the vehicle.I am not sure how it all works. Sync uses bluetooth, WIFI, cellular and has MAC addresses for it. I could not figure out what the bluetooth was on my phone so I deleted it and the Ford Pass stopped working.
I don‘t think the actual bluetooth on the phone is communicating with the car it is just how the Ford Pass App shows it communicates with the Ford Sync.
Sorry, I’m not sure if you’re asking is that what happens or suggesting a cause?auto 30 min shutoff timer. then no cell service?
I was answering your question about what could be cutting the off your communication. Car will power off at 30 mins. The car should respond to AT&T cellular, so if you don't have good service where it's parked then that might be the reason for no communication with FP.Sorry, I’m not sure if you’re asking is that what happens or suggesting a cause?
