Does drive mode (whisper, engage, unbridled) affect adaptive-cruise

I really like using adaptive cruise on the highway in both normal traffic flow and heavy traffic situations.

I'm trying to use my butt sensor to see if there's a difference to how smoothly the car accels/decels based on the driving mode your in. I want to say yes, but looking for confirmation. I find the the adaptive-cruise is a little too aggressive with its throttle control.

My question is, considering i like to always have my drive mode on Unbridled, I would prefer if adaptive cruise defaulted to whisper mode when activated.

Any chance some really smart people in here can figure out a Forscan mod that forces adaptive cruise to use the whisper profile without having to change it manually?

Yes. Drive modes do affect the adaptive cruise dynamics. The number of distance bars you have set will also impact how quickly/slowly the cruise reacts.

Unbridle with 1 bar = most aggressive acceleration and later hard braking
Everything in between.....
Whisper with 4 bars = least aggressive acceleration and sooner/smooth braking

I also use Unbridle for street driving and after merging change to Whisper for expressway driving.

Right, so you would appreciate what I’m asking for as well. Force adaptive cruise to use the whisper driving style regardless of what mode we have selected.

I have to try this now. I get so annoyed by all the hard braking in stop and go traffic

I absolutely don't consider myself "really smart", but I have done some Forscan mods with my former MME and my current Lightning. I added the adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist (ACC/LKA) to my low-trim Pro model Lightning, so I have been way deep in the Forscan programming to enable the code changes after adding the hardware (this thread in the Lightning Forum)

Based on how Forscan works by just turning options on or off that already exist in the different modules, I would venture an educated guess that Forscan would be unable to change driving modes based on if ACC/LKA is active, as that wouldn't be an on/off option that already exists in the Ford module programming.

That would be cool. Please figure it and let the rest of us know how to do it.

Hi ?
Are your drive modes really:
Whisper, Engage and Unbridled ?
That's funny ? My Mustang is built in Germany and my drive modes are:
Whisper, Active and Untamed.

Also my in my display speed is labeled: "Ground Speed" and inside my charging cover is written "Horse Power"
Are they different labeled too? ?
