I've tried it. I still have an active trial. I've disabled it because all of that beeping and "now I've got it, now I don't" drove me nuts. I am an adaptive cruise control addict however, and I'm pretty happy with the Ford implementation. Jury is still out for me on the "predictive speed" feature, but I've still got that enabled for now...

I am jealous of your satisfaction with Blue Cruise - I really wanted to like it!
1.0 was ping-pongy but still convenient in traffic or not retuning home from a road trip to work HQ. 1.3 big improvement. Not sure what beeping you’re referring to. Maybe your routes aren’t the most conducive to or supported as well by BC

Meanwhile:

Cybertruck unsellable?
Where are our Lightning friends? Is it a gloat fest over there?
The CT isn't even a serious thought in the Lightning forums.

That said, the Lightning isn't selling particularly well right now.
Ford only sold 7,817 Lightnings in Q1 2025, down 7.2% YoY. They sold 10,703 in Q4 2024, and that was 10% fewer than in Q4 2023. Total sales in 2024 were 33,510 vs 24,165 in 2023, so up 38.7%.

There's a LOT of FUD about the Lightning in the truck sphere.

Part of the reason for poor sales has to do with the dealers. I know two people who were talked out of buying a Lighting by their dealer. The dealers seem only to want to sell ICE F-150s. One of the people I know capitulated and bought a gassy truck.

The other didn't buy anything--they really like my Lightning and wanted one, but were frustrated with the dealer to trying to talk them out of it. It's the only dealer within a couple hours drive, so that sale is dead.

I’m so far out of the truck sphere. I never got the appeal. Except maybe the maverick: a truck for non truck people.

That said, one of the reasons why I bought a mach e was because Ford was willing to risk it on the F series. It showed a level of commitment. Which brings me back to the original thread…

I don’t think there’s a way to measure the impact of dealers with numbers. I’m not aware of data like “turn away rate,” which would measure what you are talking about. Or my example, I don’t think there’s a good way to measure the CEO/trust score.

So Ford sales are up and we can guess why (pre tariff bump seems reasonable, for example). But I’d love some actual numbers for why.

Most truck buyers are lifestyle buyers. Something like <1% is "light truck" miles are for towing or hauling. I use it every week for one or both, but I grew up as a rancher and still have a small piece of land. I think most truck owners truly believe they will use that truck one day for that one big tow.

I would have been much happier with a Maverick EV, but nobody builds one that size.

I doubt anyone tracks turn away or redirect rates.

If there was a Maverick EV, I would have jumped all over it. As a guy who is always lugging around drums, baseball equipment, and mountain bikes, I love the utility of small unibody pickups.

I know, right? What is it about that thing?

I have zero use case for a truck. I get more usable space from my minivan. And yet…

It won’t help quarter by quarter numbers, but maybe T3 is happening in Kentucky? https://electrek.co/2025/04/02/ford-preparing-for-all-new-ev-in-louisville-but-which-one/

I have a co-worker in the same boat for similar reasons.

I just order a new 2025 black GT to replace my 2021 silver Premium version. I am told deliver to the dealer is scheduled for late April or early May. My 2021 has 84,000 miles on it. The car needed only two repairs, and some recalls. Overall, I was happy enough to buy another one.
