So far only 23 & 24 model years are receiving this update?
Nothing on our 2024 we picked up 5 weeks ago.

But got the latest Sync update. I don't use the car much. But found the UI to be faster ? Placebo maybe.

Just updated to 10.2.0 via OTA on my '23.5 GT. Braking performance is significantly smoother - particularly when transitioning from regen to friction when coming to a full stop as well as out of auto hold. This is the first update I've received since the 10.1.1 OTA back in October.

I received the 10.2.0 update last night on my 2023 Mach E. The previous update was 10.1.1 received in November of 24. I was starting to think something was wrong with the ota updates and had the dealer check the car fully 1 week ago.

It sure would be great if Ford would post release dates and which model years are getting them.

Got the update last night on 23.5 Premium. Drove to store and braking did seem smoother.
Plugged in and it started charging to 100% which was ok since that is what I wanted.
Finished charging but it won't let me set a target charge level even though it say I can after the first AC charge is complete.
Also noticed it reenabled the security question when you turn off the car.

once I recreated charging location in car I could make changes in FordPass.

2023.5 Premium, got this today.

Here's the full update text since it seems to be different for the 2023 models compared to the 2024 in the OP and on @elmedico27 's github.

Powertrain Software Updates

Battery Status Display

This update enhances the accuracy of your vehicle's state of charge (SOC) display, providing a more precise reading of your battery status.
DC Fast Charging Locking Feature

While DC fast charging, if your vehicle is locked, the charge cord will remain secured. You can unlock it using the button next to the charge port after unlocking the vehicle. Additionally, if your vehicle is equipped with passive entry, the charge port will unlock if a key fob or Phone as a Key is nearby and the button is pressed.

Brake pedal feel

Brake pedal tuning has been refined to provide smoother braking feel.

Electric Vehicle Control Module

Same here. Last update was in October 2024 and I was worried there might be something wrong.
Got this update today.

my 2024 got an APIM update last night - is this a prerequisite for 10.2.0? this is the first update the 24 has had since i bought it in dec 2024.

As soon as I get this update (if ever...) I look forward to this. I don't think that I do, but apparently, judging by comments from my passengers, I brake hard. Anyway, I'm very aware of that regen to friction transition and would like to be less aware of it.

I am getting the update overnight tonight. This is my first update since I bought my 2023 used back in March. Am I supposed to have it plugged in for it to process the update?

not directly. the car won’t start an OTA update unless the 12V battery SOC is above some threshold. if the main battery charges, that starts the process of charging the 12V battery; if the main battery charges long enough the 12V battery SOC will reach that threshold and the update can then start. if the main battery is already full when plugging in the car, the 12V battery won’t necessarily charge.

the car does wake up every so often and should check the 12V SOC. if it is found to be too low it should charge the 12V battery regardless of whether the car is plugged in or not. this logic is not foolproof though as there are situations where people’s 12V batteries have drained.

my 12V battery was at 66% and the update wouldn’t start. after 1h15m on a 32A L2 charger, the update began.

Got the update. 2023.5. The brake change is not noticeable.

For those that received the update and do not notice any difference in brake feel: do you use 1-pedal or 2-pedal drive? I use 2-pedal and am happy with the way the car is operating currently, so concerned about allowing the update.
