Ford Mustang Mach-E Steering Wheel Cover -- most premium, best fitting, best brand? 1654499247675

I've not a clue. However, a while back my wife was complaining that her SUV's steering wheel was slipping out of her hands and it felt the same when I drove it. Found this little gem on eBay for $18 and she loved it and so did I. So I bought another for my SUV and love it. I've now had it on 4 vehicles including two MME GT's.

Maybe it looks a bit dorky, but I'm amazed at the additional control that I think / feel that I have with it. Those little gray rubber stoppers help ensure that your fingers stay firmly in place and you can even rest your fingers (obviously resting one's hands too) between them. I hope to have something comparable to this on any vehicle we own.

I installed this one on my '23:

One of the better mods I've done to the car. The leather is super soft and supple. I have a Premium so have the heated steering wheel and it heats just fine. Does take abt an hour-and-a-half+ to install, but be patient, It'll be worth it in the end.

i just installed one that i got off ebay that was specific to the mach-e. it was advertised as leather but it's either super-treated leather or faux-leather. i've installed similar ones on my past cars and the quality of leather was better in those other ones. still, it feels as good as the oem material touch-wise and i really appreciate the extra girth for my biggish hands which was the main reason i installed it. hand stitching took me about 2 hours.

I was thinking of getting one, as I plan on keeping my premium long term, and my 9yo Flex's steering wheel had the leather start coming off. A cover won't interfere with the sensors that monitor you keeping your hands on the wheel, will it?

The hands-on sensor is a torque sensor, so you could put a cover an inch and a half thick on the steering wheel and if your fingers can retain a grip the sensor would not be confused. 😁🐩

no problems with the detecting hands on wheels except maybe needing a slightly harder squeeze
