I know there was at one point an issue with the frunk latch getting stuck between open and not if you used the electronic latches. Is that still an issue or did one of the software updates fix that?
That is interesting. I wondered that too. Is there anything in the J1172 cable that would send vehicle information?
Nope. Maybe next week I'll have to plug in sometime and just sit in the car to see if anything comes up on a screen.
Our pool vehicle at work is an F-150 Lightning so we got an EVSE installed recently. I decided to top up this afternoon for the first time, since I am going out of town for the holiday after work. The charger is some strange brand and was sent by the leasing company we get work vehicles from...
I purposely do this all the time. It is great for going on runs and not having to carry a key or anything. If you know the door code its a super convenient way of getting in and out for stuff like that. When I still used PAAK I would put my phone into airplane mode so it wouldn't connect to the car.
This is really interesting and makes some sense. I only explore the bottom 50% of capacity a handful of times a year, but this makes me think I should make it a point to get down there and stay there after a trip for one day to see how my car reacts as well.
It does feel a bit like playing...
I'm about to head out on a little road trip and I'd love to know I can plug & charge at a supercharger with my new adapter. I'm almost certain I got things set up correctly a few months ago before the app swapped over to the new one. I'd like to double check that if possible.
What menu do I go...
I have noticed this too, and was really concerned at first. I'm pretty sure it is tubing for the rear window washer going through the trim up near your left ear. Get somewhere quiet and park and turn on your rear washer, you will probably hear the squirt go past your ear.
Also, if you run that...
I'm watching this with a lot of interest. I think we will be in the market for a car for my wife in 2027ish so it might be the right timing. She likes the look of the R1S but thinks it is too expensive.
I hope Rivian can make it. I've always rooted for them. They seem like such cool vehicles.
I totally agree. This should not be something a driver has to think about, and I agree the car should just do this, even if using 1PD. It would be especially good to do this automatically while it is raining as well. I'm sure what happened here is the car was washed and then parked with wet...
Yeah I have a RWD standard range and had to have my HVJB replaced in the fall of 2022. Don't go on any long drives. I was stranded out of town and had to be towed almost home. I hit the limit of the roadside assistance tow distance.
I have meaningful gripes about the Fordpass app, but one I find really annoying is how all of the UI seems to load fresh every time I open the app. When you want to pull your phone out to start the car remotely, having to wait 5-10 seconds for everything to load because otherwise the start...
I agree, everyone has to decide what BlueCruise is worth to them personally, but $800/year is WAY more than it is worth to me, but $600/3years is a tougher choice for me. If I had more faith in all of the software it may be more worth it to me, but I would have to be paying in hopes that they...
