Backing out of garage this AM. Operator error.
It was going down, due to operator error on my part. The scraping and cracking sound was really ugly,.Did the garage door go down?
Well, I damaged the garage door as well. My deductible is $500. BTW, the glass costs $1,398. At least, when the car goes in, I can get all the recall work done.DANGIT, Hopefully insurance addresses as a comp claim and not collision.
Good question. I think so, as it would be bent at the place where the glass cracked. Then paint, etc. Actually, the glass is probably better.sorry that happened, but what if you had a steel roof and this happened? would there be any damage then?
They don’t replace the roof glass as part of the recall. They don’t even remove it.Do they replace the glass in the recall or is it just seals? If the recall involves replacing the glass I wonder if all of this could be done under that without having to pay the insurance deductible?
Yes. I work in a collision shop and this happens more often than you'd think.sorry that happened, but what if you had a steel roof and this happened? would there be any damage then?
