  2. Happy dog hazard flasher, cover for armrest.

Not an unpopular opinion. We have hammocks in each car. They stay in most of the time since it's usually the dogs in the back seat. Takes all of 30 seconds to remove it for people to ride, less if it's just one person. We have harnesses for the dogs that clip into the seat belts. The...
  3. Discount Tire x Tire Rack - fear tactics

Went to Discount Tire near me to get tires for my son's car while he was on deployment. Knew which tires I wanted and the price from them was the same as Tire Rack. Add in mounting fees, etc but I would have to pay them if I ordered from TR. I've bought many, many tires from Tire Rack over...
  4. 2023 GTPE….best winter tires for Minnesota?

I've used Blizzak on previous vehicles. Michelin and Pirelli also make good winter tires. I highly recommend buying a set of wheels and tires so you can swap them out easily. I always used Tire Rack for them. You might consider dropping to a smaller diameter so the sidewall is taller which...
  5. BlueCruise, Glasses, and Nightime.

Do you have an anti-reflective coating on your glasses? The combination of prisms, reflections, and strong prescription may confuse the camera.
  6. Literally no issues after 2 yrs and 24k miles of Mach-E ownership... who else?

2 years and 15k miles. Only issue was a stuck OTA update that blocked a dozen other updates. Dealer fixed it. Almost never charge away from home.
  7. Glass roof or no glass roof?

Two years with no issues. I can't see out the roof due to my driving position but my wife loves it. Passengers we've had also like it. It's kept in the garage when not driven so no issues with chips of leaks.
  8. I have a Juice Box 40. What should I do?

I bought my JuiceBox because it was one of the units my electric utility accepted for their charging program. By letting them reduce my charging speed during peak hours they give me a $40 per year credit. I'm guessing that will change once they realize they can't talk to it anymore. Otherwise...
  9. Charging question: 2024 Mustang Mach E and NEMA 10-30 outlet

No problem with it, the charging rate will be lower. Expect 12 hours to add 70kw.
  10. Home charger with only 220V 20amp

I have a 2022 Prius Prime. On 120v it takes almost 6 hours for a full charge. On a 240v circuit it charges in about 2 hours. The onboard charger can’t take more than 16 amps.
  11. Just returned from Norway ...

My son will be moving to Oslo next year for a 2 year assignment. Don’t know what he plans to do for a car. He likes our MME but can’t realistically use one in current condo with having to park on the street and can’t charge at work. Might have to get him to try an EV while there.
  12. Another autocross last weekend in my Mach-E GT

When I designed courses my goal was to keep the newbies from getting lost but making it hard for the experienced drivers to find the perfect line. You can position sucker cones that fool people into a different line but not go off course. Learning to walk the course and visualize your drive...
  13. WSJ Tech Reporter, Joanna Stern's Latest e-Stang 1-Year Anniversary Review

Lots of reports of EVs needing tire replacement sooner than ICE cars. Some attribute it to heavier weight of EVs but that doesn’t hold up when comparing to equal weight cars. Typically the EV OEM tires are different than the tires on ICE cars. They often have less tread depth and different...
  14. Go Sun solar panels - charging while parked & covers the car. Would you get one ?

Probably more than most people would think. I remember reading an article some years ago where VW tested one of their cars in the wind tunnel with a ski rack on and off. With the ski rack left on the gas mileage was reduced by about 10%. With the much better aerodynamics of EVs and most...
  15. New car who dis?!

That color looks a lot better on a MME than on the Cybertruck I saw the other day. If you think the SS Cybertruck is ugly wait until you see a dark one.
  16. 1st time charging at Tesla Supercharger

To ask the obvious, do you have plug&charge enabled with a payment method? Have you used it at other chargers? Did you try starting the charge from the FordPass app? I just looked at mine and there’s the option to use P&C or activate manually.
  17. It’s so refreshing not having to Stop at a Walmart for a Charge - BBQ and Margaritas > Walmart pit stops.

Since I don’t like tequila I don’t see it as a problem. My wife can have all she wants as I’m driving.
  18. 1st time charging at Tesla Supercharger

My Tesla adapter was delivered last week so I wanted to try it out before I might need to use it. Nearest charger is at a Wawa about 5 miles away - 8 chargers. Got there and 4 Teslas were charging. Pulled into a space so I could access the charger but even though my tires hit the parking berm...
  19. Thank you Ford for my NACS adapter! Have you received yours?

FedEx delivered mine this afternoon. Battery currently at 81% so not a good time to test it. Only supercharger is on other side of town on a route I don’T use often. Will definitely test it out before taking it on a trip.
  20. Loaner Wheel?

Twice in the last 20 years. Broke a valve stem off in a car wash in Alaska and ran over a piece of metal that cut a 2” gash in the tread. The gash was particularly annoying as it happened late at night 3 blocks from my house where I had a nice floor jack and pneumatic wrench.
