So I had this drama with the dealer I ordered the Mach E with (I ordered standard on 7/1 ,and immediately regretted, and wanted to switch to premium, they didn't know how to do it, and asked me to wait, and gave me the runaround for months), and I finally canceled on 10/1. I even got the 500$...
and the saga continues... after i sent mail saying "umm i ordered a Mach-E dude..." i asked if i can change my order to a Premium... look at the thread... gawd... this is pretty awful. (Read from bottom up)... well, at least they are now answering emails....*eye roll*

hmm.. i may have been ranting, but then again... I called ford, they asked that my dealer do it (the helpline said they can, even left a voice mail with their GM with a directine to orderhelp), the dealer said they don't know how, and i should call ford - recursive function? you would not be...
wow.. .this is way more screwed up than i expected. Thanks for posting this - it confirms that i would not get my money back if i placed another order with another dealer. so i'm not going to do that. God, i really don't want to have to order a Model Y to get an electric car - i really want Ford...
so I had posted that my dealer didn't contact me about my order, and I finally realized that I had missed out on some options (as i was too trigger happy) and ordered the standard, instead of the premium (once you add the options i wanted, it wasn't that much difference in price). I finally...
The irony is that i've been buying my other cars through dealerships on the east coast via email and the internet without any hassle - toyota and ford local dealers are the ones that have always left a bad taste... We really need a click to buy website for cars. You put in your credit card and...
update - had a passive aggressive text exchange with the salesperson, and he finally "escalated" to the general manager, who told him to tell me that "they will help me modify the order, and follow up on any changes i want" - Geez... now i totally feel like i'm in good hands.. not.
OK, so I called. instant regret. Sales person who took my call had no idea about the Mach-E, had the decency to follow up and call me back 5 minutes later after talking to their fleet manager/ordering person. Was told that Ford is tightly controlling the process, and they have no idea. They have...
I actually am in the same camp as you - don't talk to me if you don't have to... In this case, I was just hoping for a polite check-in via email (preferred), which i could then use to contact them because i think i may have missed out on an option for my order.. nothing, nada. Makes me want to...
Nope, I never contacted them. I just decided i liked the Mach-E, placed and order, and hoped that magic happens - no magic i guess... :) i just don't believe that i should be the one begging them to take my money... perhaps i'm being naive
ordered on 7/1 may have missed adding an option. haven't heard from dealer yet 9 days later. Is this normal Ford dealer behavior? They don't want to sell this car eh? the way i look at it is that i'm a customer who has expressed a strong interest by spending 500$, i deserve a call, an email...
side question - if the order is accepted, can i still change my mind and go with a premium vs a select? or do i need to do another order, and cancel the first?
Good suggestion! i will email them, and see what happens.. my luck with Ford Dealerships have been pretty disappointing ... if not for the Mach E, I wouldn't have considered them again... thanks for the help!
thanks @ChasingCoral! The website says “order accepted” so the dealership should have done the right thing correct? I hate calling dealerships, so I think I’ll wait for them to call me..
As for ADM, with the below “dealer selling price” does it mean this dealer has no ADM? Thanks!
Placed my order yesterday for a select model. It says order accepted on Ford.com... now what? Am I supposed to get a call from the dealer? Also how do I know if the dealer will be charging additional markup on the price? Order says dealer selling price is 48,095 which seems like msrp.
thanks!
