Being in an accident already involves so much bs and so much of your time, and that’s the best case scenario. Glad you are ok and I’m sorry it’s even worse than it has to be.
That strikes me as weird. I leave my fob in the car, sometimes my phone too, with it running all the time and it never locks me out. Your car was definitely 100% on? Not just the auxiliary power? Good to know your door code I guess!
As far as that last goes, I have gotten ford to reimburse me for payments made while my car was down. The dealership where I got it fixed (and bought it) helped with that, but I imagine that’s something you could try on your own as well.
This is a very frustrating situation. I’m sorry this is...
I just had my 2023 in for body work (because all the sensors in the world apparently cannot save me from myself) at the dealership where I bought it. The work had nothing to do, or really near, the 12v, but they proactively replaced it at no cost to me. To me that suggests some people in the...
As far as I’m concerned it’s just the price of doing business on the internet, or texting my brother, the acronym king. Anyway, what’s the difference between looking it up somewhere on the forum and asking Dr Google?
From what I’ve seen here it is probably a good idea to replace your 12v since it is almost at the 3 year mark. However, I get those error messages from time to time (my MME is a year old) and I find resetting the 12v resolves it. Also fixes essentially everything else that goes wrong with the car.
I should have known. Reset the 12v, problem solved. It’s weird to me that it worked, but it does seem to solve every issue my car has. Could be worse for sure.
I did a quick forum search, could not find anyone else having this issue. When I went to the store today I discovered the Liftgate will not open. The lights flash but nothing else happens. I tried key, manual, app. The app tells me it is opening. Everything else seems to be working fine. Up to...
