I did a quick forum search, could not find anyone else having this issue. When I went to the store today I discovered the Liftgate will not open. The lights flash but nothing else happens. I tried key, manual, app. The app tells me it is opening. Everything else seems to be working fine. Up to 39 here already today and I was parked in the sun at the store, so I do not think it’s iced shut, plus I can’t hear the latch trying to open. It’s a 2023 premium. Any thoughts?

Can you hear the latch release or does it just do nothing? ??

I cannot hear anything from the latch. As far as I can tell, the only thing it does is flash the lights.

Sounds like a problem but you could at least look at your settings. If I remember correctly there is an option to enable the lift gate. Might try cycling that.

I thought this was a good suggestion but sadly it didn’t work. I could not get it to open when I had the power disabled, nor when I re-enabled it

I should have known. Reset the 12v, problem solved. It’s weird to me that it worked, but it does seem to solve every issue my car has. Could be worse for sure.

Glad you got it fixed. Probably an overflow issue in the RGTM. ??

I will look that up in the urban dictionary. Happy new year!
Which brings up an issue I have with this forum...acronyms. As a newbie, both to the forum and MMEs, I often need to stop and look up acronyms on the web which is not cool (to me, anyway). Some I can guess, but some, i.e. HVBM, are head scratchers. Does this forum have a real-time acronym list that gets updated by 'someone' or automagically? It would then make this forum so much more enjoyable to us newbies. Thanks for letting me vent.

As far as I’m concerned it’s just the price of doing business on the internet, or texting my brother, the acronym king. Anyway, what’s the difference between looking it up somewhere on the forum and asking Dr Google?

For me it's handier to move between departments within a store instead of going to another store, then another, then back to the original store to continue where I left off. And with a separate list like Babbit's, I can have it open in the background and simply click on it to bring it forward as needed. Easy-peasy!
