The last thing I'm looking at when I'm backing up is the dash. There should be an audible alarm, mirror flashing and a warning near the backup camera screen. Possibly the car should even apply the brakes (but this would need an option to turn off)...
Sorry about your car.
I INSIST my kids drive the Mach E. If I couldn't trust them with it then they wouldn't be allowed to drive anything. It's safer than our Explorer. It has automatic braking, etc. Crash tests are better. I can replace the car. I can't replace my kids.

I have a 2021 job 2 prem 4x. Last winter (Chicago) we got down to about -15F. This was the first time I ever noticed it struggling to keep the interior warm. Granted I had a coat on in case of getting stranded or in an accident so I was plenty warm (especially with heated seats), but I was...
It happens to me at least once a week. I seem to be the only one experiencing it (all three profiles are set to Whisper mode). I use both PAAK and the key fob, but I never have the fob with me when I’m using PAAK. My profile is #2.
I’ll need to pay closer attention to how it behaves without the...
Happened for the first time today. Using PAAK, '21 Job 2 Premium. Parked outside (thank goodness) garage, in the sun. Was backed up to the garage... for sure no critters. There would have been big damage if I'd parked in the garage with the garage door closed like I do 99.99% of the time!
I played around with it until it worked. It was confusing because nothing was labeled. I think I found an F150 forum that helped. I apologize, I don't remember now exactly which button I was on.
One thing I do remember is that to get your codes go to...
I'm not a big phone user either. Just recently we switched to an unlimited data plan (it was cheaper), so I'm familiar with limited the use of data out of the house. I also use a USB stick. Even with unlimited data, I use the USB stick.
Food for thought though... if she is in an accident...
Many many MANY thanks for your excellent write up! I replaced my door latch a couple of weeks ago and it went very well. Not even a single bloody knuckle!
My only hiccup was that I was too ignorant to realize I would need to program the new latch (even thought it was still fully functional...
I have a 2021 Job 2. The update failed. (LVB is only a few months old) Says it will try again. Of course I can't make it try again now. I wish it would say why it failed and when it would try again. Alas
Job 2 2021, 44k, noticed driver's side cracking today. I'm in my 40's and this is the first seat I've ever had an issue with. Last car has 199,000 miles on it and the cloth looked new.
I park in a garage at work (not on the top floor) and in my own garage at home. Seats have seen no sun at...
I have a 2021 Job 2 and my last update was in May '24 as well. I was worried that one of the previous updates broke my updating ability. Glad I'm not alone (glad because there's enough of us they will hopefully fix a problem if there is one OR glad because maybe there's no updates I'm missing).
I really wish there was a way to have the car plugged in and warm the cabin using a departure time WITHOUT preconditioning the battery. I don't have far to drive for work and although it's wonderful getting into a warm car, I hate wasting the electricity to heat the massive amount of mass that...
I wonder if we'll all need batteries again in 3 more years or if the software updates make the car more gentle to the LVB. I also replaced mine proactively.
I'm thinking about the Defender as well. It looks like the Defender 2 is better as far as rolling resistance than the original Defender, but it's hard to find any solid data.
I'm curious...how does it drive compared to the OE tire? (noise/crispness of steering/ride/etc)
Thanks!
I'm very curious...how do they feel compared to the OE tire? Crisp/numb? How is the ride? I've been looking very seriously at these. I believe the Defender 2 (which is what is on sale now) prioritizes rolling resistance a lot more than the original Defender.
