I have a 2021 Job 2. The update failed. (LVB is only a few months old) Says it will try again. Of course I can't make it try again now. I wish it would say why it failed and when it would try again. Alas

True we have to dig for information wherever we can get it. After all, Ford didn't make an official post in the Lightning Forums saying "We've released BC 1.3 for Mach E, BC 1.4 is coming Soon™ for Lightning owners".
I was just kidding you ?

Prepare for the underwhelming advancements. (I've had 1.3 since March 1st)
Personally I'd really like to go back to 1.2 as it worked. Now on my 35 mile round trip work days I used to get a solid 15 miles each way (with 1 disconnect only driving in).Now I'd say BC HF works about 5 miles each way so 10 total out of what used to be 30. I get to drive BC hands on and even that just cancels in the exact same spot every day, then the hands on with BC HF functioning randomly (randomly in exactly the same spots) for about 30 seconds. Weather conditions, eye contact etc doesn't seem to matter.

I've driven this path (101 HOV lanes from Chandler to Scottsdale), in these lanes, at this speed probably 150 times in 1.0, 100 times in 1.2, and now 30 times in BC 1.3 which acts exactly like 1.0 did with where it kicks out and for how long. 1.3 activates quick like 1.2, but craps out just as fast in the HOV lanes. 1.2 worked great. Now, if I drive in the middle lanes (white dotted stripes it'll stay engaged in HF seldomly kicking out). 1.3 even cancels on me like 1.0 used to and throws the 'resume control' warning. I think the camera has issues with solid yellow lines but the lane keeping never shows it being a problem.

My coax cable hasn't been replaced yet due to the shit show that is Earnhart Fords service dept, but I havn't had a front camera fault since it was FDRS'd to 1.3. I'm looking into if I can force align it with ForScan or if that requires FDRS again.

Wow! That’s precisely the opposite of my experience. I’ve had it remain engaged more consistently and in areas where it would never engage previously. I wonder if it’s due to the hardware problem you say you have?

I know my coax was loose. I haven’t punched the headliner to see if I can piss it off again lately, but when it was at the dealer, I have zero idea what they did to the car, other than follow a gravel truck for their test drive. ( But 1.3 was kicking out as I described before they had it )

Did you go from 1.0 to 1.3?

Not without FDRS (Ford Diagnostic & Repair System), which requires Windows, a special OBD cable and an (expensive) license. Search for FDRS on this forum for a (ton) of additional information about this.

(I'd be delighted to be proven wrong, of course!)
Don’t forget the regulated power supply capable of supporting 13V at a minimum of 50A. ??

Job 1 here. Got the update today. It failed the first time (says my lights were on?), but went thru the second time. Nearly 4 years to the day from when I picked it up. Will check it out on the way to work in the AM.

Which itself likely needs a 20 amp receptacle not the more ubiquitous 110 15 amp circuit. Some take the risk and use this sort of adapter.

2021 Mustang Mach-E Owners,

You may have noticed that we have started to roll out the final update to enable BlueCruise 1.3 on BlueCruise-equipped 2021 model year Mustang Mach-E vehicles! Please keep in mind, as this rollout happens not all vehicles will receive the update at the same time. For example, your neighbor with the same model year vehicle could get the update at a different time than you do.

BlueCruise 1.3 helps you stay engaged in hands-free mode longer, including around curves and narrow lanes. It also builds on BlueCruise 1.2 which includes Lane Change Assist allowing you to change lanes by tapping the turn signal and once the path is clear and In-Lane Repositioning which helps keep the vehicle in its lane while subtly shifting position away from vehicles in adjacent lanes.

We want to thank you again for your patience.

The team at Ford

Hi, My 2021 Mach E RT1 received the 1.3 update on Tuesday evening. After the update, the radio / sound system is not working at all and turning on by itself and then stopping, but the other problem is that Blue Cruise did not enable when I was on the highway at all For two days. Today it turned on briefly and then stopped again. I have checked to make sure that all the lañe centering and other blue cruisers tools were enabled and have tried turning things off and on. I have seen notes about map versions being outdated and disconnecting 12 volt battery, etc. Does anyone have anything definitive that I should try? Driving today for several hours with no sound system and no blue cruisers was really kind of frustrating.

When can BJ21/22 expect it in Germany? BC has been announced here for almost 2 years.

Naah, a 50A supply won’t need more than 12A at 120V unless it’s supremely inefficient. I do have a 5-20 outlet in my garage for my PL6100 though. ??

Congrats to the 2021 owners who want BC and have the hardware for it. ??
As a 2021 owner outside of warranty with a Select that does not support BlueCruise seems like an 140min update I should skip. More hazard than benefit.
