Couldn’t disagree more. The safety benefits of back end parking are well documented, but not well accepted. It’s safer for people especially kids as well as property to back end park. People just don’t like to change habits. Charge port should be like Tesla to force back end parking. This is a trivial exercise with 360 cameras and it ends up
taking less time overall.

Completely not related what I was talking about. Backing into a space is fine and I do that frequently. Having the charging port at the extreme corner of the car makes it more vulnerable to crash damage. I stand by my statement that corners of the car are more vulnerable than the place where the MME has its charge port. ?‍♂?

He was always a GM guy, would diss Fords (Fix Or Repair Daily). I had a few second thoughts about buying the Mach-E, thinking of him. But, after 3 years (almost) with this car -- with very few, and only minor problems -- pretty sure he'd dig it.

Thanks Dad.
My dad was a BOP-Cadillac guy. Chebbies are not on the menu. He had a couple of Fords too. He’d have dug my MME. My mom was sure enthused with me putting it on reserve. She was the Mustang owner in the family. ??

Which one? The S, 3, X, Y, and CT all have a left rear charge port. Are you talking about the original Tesla Roadster? That was pre-network.
To be fair, CT has the port on the LR wheel well arch. There are some SC stations where the V3 is too far back to reach the port. Of course, most will work. ??

A2Z is going to solve the issue for me much sooner than that.
Tesla's quarterly report said they've upgraded 1500 stations to have longer cables already. It was in their quarterly report.

A2Z promised me a new fast charge adapter, I put in the paperwork and the photo they required, that was a couple of weeks ago and they still haven't shipped it. They do have a postal strike on, but.... Tesla's ahead so far :p

It’s not like you don’t also have a fully working adapter from them….your just getting a new one because Tesla is being ridiculous.

The wording was a little too cute by half on that Tweet that was sent by the Tesla charging person. But in sum, he said that they have "modified" 1,500 v3 stations so that they're more compatible with various charge port locations. Those modifications probably consist primarily of removing the bollards. But then again, they're still putting bollards down at their new stations, which then requires them to go back and remove them at some point.

In the end, it benefits the drivers of Tesla vehicles if the V3 stations could accommodate various charge port locations without non-Tesla vehicles taking up 2 stalls.

That makes a lot more sense than longer cables! Thank you!
