Just done the new *fixed* powertrain updates on my 21J1. PCM,BECM and SOBDMC No dramas.....

Just gave myself a small coronary...... Decided to do the Powertrain updates, as that was all that was showing for my 21J1, and all was going well until updating the ABS. Car went to sleep, pumps running...and "Programming error...retry?" Gulps......Retry...same.....retry....same.....sweat...

I nearly pulled the trigger on the explorer until I saw how everything is basically VW…seats…steering wheel…..not actually much at all by Ford. The sun visor is lol. Shame really as I don’t want a VW, I want a Ford.

Been a while since I plugged FDRS in and was surprised to find just OBCC and HVAC on my 21J1. Updated...no dramas P.S: I should add, I'm glad they were small updates because some silly person forgot to actually turn the 50A PSU on, even after hooking it all up :) LVB now on a charge :)

I bought mine from eBay when they first came out. They’ve now doubled in price.

So this shall be my final post on this thread, as I seem to be the only person in the world with this issue....but it's good news... Just got back from the dealer who did indeed replace the module above....also known as PACM or AVAS module. (Pedestrian Alert Control Module) NO MORE...

Hmmm, there was no GWM for me, even after a clear DTC and network scan....but I am in the UK where we tend to not get cool things....

Just done the BCM on my 21J1.....No Dramas.....

So another update on this...... Back to the dealers today, and they now think it could be the "Pedestrian Warning Module" itself, so they have ordered in the part. I'm guessing that it's this part: LJ8T-14G113-BB It's coming in from Germany, so have to wait until it's arrival, and then...
