Charging to 100% consistently is bad. Google lithium ion batteries. RTFM, it says only charge to 90% most of the time.
The Guess O' Meter is just that...just like on an ICE vehicle. If it says you have 30 mi of "gas" left, don't listen to it. Know that 10% of a 10 gallon tank is 1 gallon, and...
Depending on where you are...I know I NEED to change mine after about 6k...something something wildfires and pollen (both have been really bad around here).
You all really need to stop charging to 100% all the time if you want to maintain battery life/health...it's in the manual and it's common knowledge at this point about Lithium batteries...just do 5 minutes of reading on the internet and/or RTFM.
In other news, crossed 5100 miles on the...
Charging to 100% regularly significantly reduces the overall life of the battery. The Mustang Mach-E's manual recommends limiting charge to 90% most of the time (which is 80% of the ACTUAL full capacity, which is the generally accepted standard for maintaining battery health.)
Contrary to popular belief, driving like grandma isn't great for your range in EVs. 1PD, Unbridled, full accelleration at every light, and I hit 80-100mph 3-5 times a week on the interstate...so...
My [car] is supposed to get 20mpg, and it has a 10 gallon tank. I drove 180 miles and ran out of gas, more than once. I'm returning my car, stupid false advertising...I paid for a car that should go 200 miles on a tank of gas, by golly.
(That's basically the same as OP, just adjusted for fossil...
Android user here. PaaK has pretty consistently worked for me, and when it hasn't it's been because of the phone not the car...But I'm a software engineer, so I RTFM.
Yeah...this is all moderately to highly illegal (pretty sure disconnecting/disabling/muffling the pedestrian alert system is a felony, but I'm not a lawyer). It only makes noise when you're backing up (for safety) and under a certain speed (IIRC it's around 30mph?...for pedestrians...so they...
*sees a post that states someone ran over something like a chunk of muffler, resulting in damage*
...?
*assumes design is flawed if you can't just plow through debris*
There's a jump in logic there that I just do not see. I bet a 9mm at 10meters does less damage to something than hitting a...
100% stock First Edition. 0 actual complaints (because PaaK taking 10 seconds to pair after I turn BT back on isn't a valid complaint...). I only charge to 85% (manual says 90%, I'm being "extra nice" to my battery) and still get 320mi+ estimated range. 4.1mi/kwh average over 5000miles of...
Don't charge to 100% on a regular basis. It's bad for the battery's overall longevity. The manual suggests limiting charge to 90% (which is around 80% of the real total capacity, which is generally considered the "best" top charge to hit regularly). A quick Google search can get you plenty of...
He's talking about disconnecting the 12v battery under the "hood", not the big HV battery pack. This should not require going to a dealer, just popping a cover or two and disconnecting the regular-old-car-battery.
Also, your phone may be as up to date as it can be and still not be compatible...
From the "issues" I've seen on this forum, a couple spring immediately to mind:
PaaK requires certain version or higher of Android/iOS
Limit your charge to 90% unless you plan to need that other 10% imminently (and how to do so)
The various intelligent/cruise/lanekeepassist bits (and how to not...
I have 3 phones set up as keys, each tied to a different profile. When my wife gets in to drive, for example, she likes the seat auto moving back to let you in then forward after you shut the door feature. I don't need it. Different mirror settings, etc...I think it's great. Fob lives in a bag...
at almost 5000 mi, I'm averaging 3.9mi/kwh in a FE. It's bonkers.
Also, if you want your battery to last 200k+ miles, don't charge past 90% (per the owner's manual)
Because timing/serpentine belts/chains never screwed up or broke
Because starters/alternators/water pumps/thermostats never just failed
Because head gaskets never lost their seal
Because carburetors always work exactly as intended
Because doors never randomly opened during turns (as above)
No, I...
