Update: when I came home last night the 12v was at 97%. At 4am it was at 36. So I got up and drove around, bringing it back to 98. When I got home I cleared the preconditioning and did not plug it back in. It’s now, almost 2 hours later, still at 98. ??‍♀ I have to drive out of state today but I imagine all this means it’s back to the dealership. ☹
Did your FordPass app recently change to the new version?

No. There are no pending updates for the app either. I have to believe it’s related to the non-update update from Wednesday evening, when the alert noises changed, and also audio volume being stuck at 0.

Audio volume stuck at 0? Have you tried a SYNC reboot? Hold volume - and right seek buttons on the steering wheel until the screen reboots. If that doesn't work, you may need a 12V reset.

I did try the reboot yesterday, after @HuntingPudel told me how. Tried it a couple of times. 12v reset doesn’t sound that bad…can I do that myself? ??

You have to pop off the frunk covers and remove the negative battery terminal. You'll need a 10 mm socket. Leave it off for 5-10 minutes then put it back on and tighten. Popping covers is pretty easy to me, but for some people think it's extremely difficult for some reason. They are a little fussy the first time, but you just pull up harder till they come off. I wear gloves.

Super, thanks. My husband is very handy and I am very good at following directions. We will try it this weekend. I really appreciate it!

I am using the new Ford Pass app, and I get the low 12v notification many days I do not drive at all. This message was very rare until recently.

@MachLee thank you! We decided to try resetting the 12v before our trip and I’m glad we did! No more weird warnings, alert sounds are back to normal, 12v holds a charge, and my favorite, I can listen to music again!

Figured that would do the trick.

Kill the app on your phone at night, or switch back to the old version. That should hopefully stop the drain.

I had a similar issue the other day. I got a notification on my phone that my 12V battery was drained and if I had any aftermarket accessories to disconnect and if not, then to service immediately. Attached is what was showing as the 12V and HVB SOC

I was on the phone with FordPass CSR this morning for an issue unrelated to this and I mentioned getting the electrical system drain message on the same day as FordPass updated to 5.0 and she said "yes we know about the issue with this and other bugs and are working on it".
