Yes, they're working on something internally, but I don't know details about the if/when. I do know that they are aware of it.
FWIW, I'm stuck in the same boat. Last attempt for 1.7.1 was November 24th, and it hasn't tried again since.

Ford OTA Tech support is so far saying I'll need to get a new APIM, which is a frustrating answer.

The new OTA will be targeted at any cars that are reporting a failed state on the 1.7.1 OTA.

I don't know when it will come, but it sounds like it might be soon. And should be a small OTA, not the full OTA.

Awesome. I'm in contact with the Ford OTA team, and I'll be sure to update this thread if I find out more about that update and the date it's coming.

My June build received 1.6, 1.4, and finally last night 1.7.1 in succession over the last three or so weeks.

I may have missed it, but how does one tell what version you are on if all you see under "System Updates" is "Your system is up-to-date." with no additional information?

When I look at the About SYNC screen I see:

SYNC 4 Software Version: 21180_PRODUCT
Revision: 176

Is there any correlation between the SYNC 4 version and the FordPower-Up Version or are they distinct version numbers?

I received my GT in early October.

I'm in UK and recently had my sync module physically replaced and updated. I see the exact same version info as you do. I think this 1.7.1 format is a US thing?? They could be different due to different legal constraints in UK. Don't think they would accept hands free in UK and they don't like using phones to lock/unlock the car. From the comments we may be better a bit behind the curve - sounds like 1.7.1 breaks the Nav system.

Since my update I do get "No chargers in range" Errors coming up - even when that is not true _ I'm not that stupid.
