Because his order is in mid April and the guidelines are coming next week. The current mach-e batteries will almost certainly not qualify for the full tax credit

That's what I mean. How can you say after reading this article and linking it for everyone else to read that it's now "looking not so good," when the article you linked doesn't provide any new information about what those guidelines will be? That statement implied there was new information in the article about what those guidelines might be. There is not.

Everyone already knew that the guidelines would affect cars delivered after its announcement, be it positive or negative. I don't understand why you put this out there.

1. Critical Minerals - $3750 - this requires that the critical minerals are extracted or processed, in the US or a country that the US has a free trade agreement. Or recycled in North America. This a question mark that no one knows.

2. Battery Components at least 50% in America - $3750 - This requires the battery to be assembled or manufactured in North America. The battery is manufactured by LG in Poland so defiantly not getting this portion


So you can make a pretty educated guess that it is not looking good for him getting the full tax credit

Not at all! Been a big follower of 4sallypat's dilemma for months now so wanted him to be up to date ?

I have also been pulling for both @4sallypat & @NYSteve. I hope they get their MMEs and keep them. I will feel a sense of disappointment if they do not take delivery after all this time, tax credit or not.

I’m in the same boat, originally ordering a 22 Select with C/T on 3/28/22 which was converted to a premium with 12/19 build week. No clear updates from Ford or dealer. I’ve been monitoring on ford pass to see if it had been shipped or was just sitting there in Mexico. Still sitting there but I did get this in the app and wondered if it might have something to do with it? Thought I’d pass it along for others still waiting.

Call Ford customer service.
They have repeatedly told me that while they don't know WHY my car has been sitting in Mexico for 3 months, they WOULD know if it was damaged or had a malfunction.

Please let us know what they tell you.

Ugh! Now I’m pretty positive for the most part. I would look at this with a half glass full perspective. They caught something before it got to you. I would think their access to parts is pretty good too.. ha!

My dealer called with info I knew from the website, but it’s always nice when you get communication. He said the car was still projected to be delivered April 6-12th. He said that his inside rep noted that the “rail” situation had improved and the estimates should be more accurate now , if not better and they pull off the Scotty thing from Star Trek and it arrives earlier.
