How can you say people are overreacting when none of these sales have been completed yet?
Ummm ... Thanks for proving my point. There's no evidence of this actually going through. The dealership that I got my car through wanted 20k ADM originally but I got it for MSRP.

This car, although nice to have, is not a necessity. You have the freedom to go get a Tesla, or any other of the thousands of vehicles out there. If your dealer tries to screw you over and you can't get resolution then walk away. Sure it sucks, but let's not cry over, have heart attacks over and fear monger everyone on this forum over a "this might happen, but we have no proof".

I am no advocate for ADM as a matter of fact I have many posts describing my experience and fighting ADM. I spent over a week looking for a car from coast to coast and finally got one in Florida at MSRP. I had it shipped to California. There's options and there's a ton of these cars out there. Typing on this forum won't get you what you want.

I'll tell you what, I'm done with these threads. I'll let you all work yourselves up. It's crazy how some of you get mad at those trying to calm people down based on actual real life experiences. If anyone wants to talk to me about my experience they can DM me. Be more than happy to talk calmly and sanely about my experience.

Roseville ford don’t have adm. They will put all cars on website over msrp. Just have to have a, X plan or fight for mspr. Each dealer is making money even at msrp with the way ford is selling Mach e ?. or maybe the change for the new year. I doubt it. Roseville ford is all about being the highest volume selling ford on the valley and will sell cars at or bellow msrp to make a sell. Why even post this when you have not even talked to the dealership SO STUPID ?

That doesn't prove any point. There's no evidence of it NOT going through, because these sales have not come to completion. You might be right; I might be right. I'm calling you out because while I can appreciate that people shouldn't be feeling stress over this, I get the sense that you're saying "just relax and see what happens when your car is actually there." We have months to prepare; who wants to get that surprise on delivery day? Which leads to the next point:

This car, although nice to have, is not a necessity. You have the freedom to go get a Tesla, or any other of the thousands of vehicles out there.
Maybe where you live you can just go out and buy a Tesla today, or another electric vehicle. I can't - I'm going to be waiting months. Maybe I could find some junk ICE beater, but for me the cost of running a gas-powered car is significantly higher than an electric vehicle, and it's hassle I don't care to deal with. Right now I have room to maneuver, but let me burn nine or so months for my ordered Mach-E to arrive and then maybe I can't wait another four months for a Tesla if things don't work out.

The way I see it, "failure to prepare is preparing to fail." Don't worry, nobody's having a heart attack, but this process has a lot of fishiness to it and there's nothing wrong with comparing notes with others on how they approached their own dealerships, knowing what dealerships will try to sneak through, and then figuring out how to make sure that you're not going to get screwed over, yourself - particularly if you might not be able to cover surprise costs. Tell people what they can do to cover themselves and share your own advice, but telling people to just relax and do nothing? Maybe it's well-meaning but it does not come across as being particularly helpful.

Good move on your part, it's definitely comical how worked up some get on this forum.

I had a horrible experience with both Roseville and Sacramento branches.
Saw a MME online, called to verify it was MSRP, showed up to purchase, was told it is MSRP once you account for the rebates.

Got one in Fairfield for MSRP instead. EG, Dixon, Folsom, and Fairfield all sold at MSRP. Stockton was selling for MSRP plus 600$ for a LoJack.

Bill, I thought it was an inappropriate word to use the first time you used it, but ultimately decided to let it slide. "Milking the victimhood status"? My dealer nearly stuck me with a few thousand extra and then refused to outright say whether they were going to remove the charges or not, until I went in and had a somewhat unpleasant talk with them. Since my order isn't built yet and the dealer refused to sign a purchase agreement (and your advice to "find a better dealer" really doesn't apply on an island with three dealers, but thanks for trying), my story unfortunately isn't over. But instances like mine are rife on this forum. I've learned a fair bit about the process from the people who are sharing their stories, and all I'm doing is contributing one more data point.

I'm not sure what kind of person you have to be to think that my desire to warn others to be cautious is milking anything. Do you work for a dealership, or have a family member who does? If so, that would explain a lot. How shameful.

No, I don't work for a dealer and I stand corrected. Being that you are on an island it doesn't give you the options the rest of us enjoy. My apologies and best of luck on getting your Mach e at a reasonable price.

If you can cancel your order and find a new dealer. Or transfer you order to a dealer not doing a massive market. due a true F them on getting a mach E they can sell for more.
Ford really needs to step in and go after all dealers charging over MSRP and doing a massive drop in priority in them for getting ANYTHING.

If you have an email from your dealer stating that there will be no ADM, just call them (or go and see them) and discuss it with them. Inform them that you have it in writing based on this email and make sure that they know your expectation of no ADM is based on their having assured you in writing that there would be no ADM. ??

What tool did you use to locate your car?

What tool did you use to locate your car?
cars.com and edmunds.

The ford website is terribly out of date and very incomplete. I found much better luck with the other two.

Additionally, I have posts here regarding shipping: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/those-who-bought-from-out-of-state.10551/post-264264

Lastly, be aware that when purchasing out of state you are normally disqualified for in state rebates. Federal rebates still apply. For many of us who have had a previous EV purchase or make more than the income limit we aren't eligible anyway, so it doesn't matter. If you do qualify for state rebates you would likely be forfeiting them (at least in California).

I was curious, was this $9,995.00 there when you placed the original order back in Oct (did you take a screenshot?) or did it just show up now when you go to your reservation?

Just wondering if it was always there and they oked the no dealer mark-up in email, but this showed up prior.

An owner here had that, but the dealer had no trouble keeping their word of no ADM even though the order had it.
Yeah the $9,995.00 "Difference from total MSRP" is a new addition to my ford.com reservation page as of about a week ago. I called my contact at the dealer and he said that I won't be paying the extra 10k because we discussed no ADM when I ordered it. I just think it's interesting because back in October Furture Ford Roseville was charging $3,500 ADM for any MachE's that came in and weren't claimed. That ADM was never on my reservation page until the 10k showed up last week.

Not sure if this is true or not, but he also said that the dealer invoice price on these cars are within a dollar of the MSRP. According to him dealers aren't making any profit directly selling these cars from those of us ordering them from Ford.
