I don’t drive much, maybe 50 miles a week, and today a yellow warning message appeared when starting the MME about checking the 12v battery. After driving the message isn’t being displayed.
The car is garaged and I have my charging level set to 90%. I charge the car when the range falls below 100 miles.
My question is should I keep the MME plugged in to keep the 12v battery charged? I’m concerned that not draining the HVB isn’t a good idea.

The 12 V battery won’t be charged unless you were driving, actively charging, or falls below a certain low level, which is what just happened and you were alerted about. If you don’t drive the car much those warnings are somewhat expected occasionally. Just leaving the car plugged in doesn’t provide any additional benefit.

If you get the warnings every few days then you have a drain you need to investigate. See my 12V reconditioning topic for ideas.

I would ignore it for now unless it keeps happening.
