Anyone know if I 'm correct and he is either lying or does not know what he is talking about?
Yes, someone over there is either lying or ignorant. As GreaseMonkey says, Ford Credit gets a $7,500 credit from the federal government when they lease an electric car.

Thanks @GreaseMonkey! I'm awaiting a lease quote from dealer. Will post here so others have something to compare. At this rate I may follow the advice from @generaltso and just get an extended warranty on my 2021 - it is $1,750 for 8 years / 85k miles with added interior/exterior light protection. From floodfordesp.com
Also check Granger for extended warranty pricing. They seem to be a little cheaper.

My Dealer got back to me and said that the 23 GTPE he can offer has an MSRP of 59,195. 7,500 miles/year (plenty for me); 39 payments of $635. 39x635 = 24,765 to drive it for 3 years.

Not worth it.

Think I'll be going with 8 year/85k miles PremiumCare ESP Contract from either Granger Ford or Flood Ford and just keep my 2021.

I'm looking at a similar car and the numbers I got for a 39 months lease do not make sense over the 36 month lease. Looking at the 6 month, I'm seeing $24.1k with 5.5 down or $24.6k with 0 down. Edited to add: My numbers include a $1,500 Private Offer that popped up in my Ford Credit account.

You have more equity in your car - I'm underwater on mine. Payoff right now is $25, after 3 more monthlies, it will be $24.1k. But to compare apples to applies, I need to add $600(+tax) for 3 years of BlueCruise and $1,130 for ExtraCare or $1,955 for Premium Care for 6years/75,000 miles. Throw in my "cost of money" and I think it's fair to say keeping my care would cost me about $27k.

So leasing the GTPE for me would "save" me ~$3k over keeping my car but I'd have zero equity vs. whatever the value of my car would be.

Carvana would give me $23,000 for it right now, I'm sure less in June when my Options is up. On trade, I'd be lucky to get $19 or $20k. An accident shows in CarFax even though there was absolutely no damage and no repairs but it still hurts. Plus I have more miles, a blemish on the front bumper and some curb rash on the wheels. So what might it be worth in June of 2027? $12k?

So adding in the $3k savings, I'd be at about $9k, for a new GTPE for the next three years instead of a 3/4/5 year old Premium 4x. Probably would have cost me about that to be in a GTPE from the get-go and then I would have been in a 3/4/5 year old GTPE for the second set of 3 years.

So that's sort of my baseline. Yes, it costs me more money but for me I'd be getting things I think are worth the cost.

I will likely pass, though, because we rather liked the GV60 we test drove on Saturday. (That also helped us realize that the Lyriq was not for us.) Once I'm sure I'm passing on the GTPE, would you like me to connect you with the dealer that gave me these numbers? (I suspect they'd be even better for you with 10.5 or even fewer miles per year. I need to allow for 12k miles/year.)

Thanks carbonizedbrett! Feel free to message me with your Dealer's info and I'll give them a try.
