Mercedes-Benz is the latest automaker to make a grab for the title of the longest-range electric vehicle with the reveal of the Vision EQXX, a solar-powered concept car capable of exceeding 1,000 kilometers (648 miles) on a single charge.
This is enough for Vision EQXX to go from New York City to Cincinnati, or Berlin to Paris, or Beijing to Nanjing, on a single charge. Compared with other long-range electric vehicles currently on the road, it is impressive, such as Lucid Air (520 miles) and Tesla Model S Long Range Plus (402 miles).

I bet they will get close to the range published when they do release it. The new 2022 EQS 450+ Sedan is supposed to get 485 miles per charge. They were supposed to get 516 miles per charge.

I love that we are getting more and more miles per charge. I remember when the Leaf and E-Golf were release the miles per charge was very low. We are now at 400+ with the Tesla and Lucid. The future is looking very bright for electric vehicles. When the electric vehicles range exceed most or all of the ICE and Hybrid vehicles, we will have turned a new corner.

Adding to the comments, a Tesla Model S had it's batteries replace with new (although more capacity) batteries from the start-up ONE. It went 752 miles in the cold. It will be interesting on how this could lead its way into production.
