Hi Everyone,
I recently purchased a 2023 Mach-E Premium and I have a question regarding the "post-charging" state of my car. I have the car setup to charge anytime, to a level of 80%, and I do not have any departure times set. Whenever the car is charging and reaches 80%, I will receive a "Charging Complete" notice on FordPass and I will hear the car shut off (pump or whatever the noise is when charging). The car however, seems to remain in a charging state as the blue indicator lights will still blink blue (4 solid, 1 blinking), and my Grizzl-e charger will continue to blink green indicating that it is charging. No matter how long I leave the charger plugged in, it appears that neither the car nor the charger will go into a standby state. If I unplug the car and plug it back in, the car and charger will go right back into the same sequence of blinking. Looking at my power consumption per hour via my electricity provider, it does not appear that any additional electricity is being used beyond a few peaks of 1-2kwh every other hour or so, with my typical baseline being .88-1.4 kwh during the same time periods prior to owning an EV. I have also tried using the Ford mobile charger, which produces the same results. Am I missing something here? The vehicle is in my garage with an ambient temperature of around 40*. I have reached out to Ford but they aren't really offering any real feedback concerning this specific situation. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
