2023 MACH E GTPE - new vs used

Looking to pull trigger on GTPE between now and end of June. Had been exploring only new vehicles but just recently decided to explore used as well, found at a non-Ford dealership a used one with about 12k miles, configured exactly as I would want it, they're listing it at $48k. One thing I saw was a recall on the CARFAX noting an issue with the battery charge control module. Called a local Ford service center and they indicated there's a software update addressing this issue. Anyone familiar with this issue? Those in the market for used 2023 GTPE, curious to hear what you're seeing in terms of pricing.

Do you know what the build month is? Could you be lucky enough that it's 7-23 or later?

Looks like Oct 2022 and went to dealership in Nov 2022. MSRP was $78k+.

You can definitely find deals on new and used right now. Plenty of new especially to choose from.

Original MSRP is meaningless with the new lower MSRP, plus $3k rebate and 0% for 72 on new ones. Plus some dealers offering thousands less than that. Some here have gotten new GTPE for around $53k.

Take it all into consideration to find the best deal. But for 53k and 0% financing I would probably go new.

If they drop the used one to 43k, that would be a hard decision depending on the used financing offers.

I'd think that the 0% financing and cash incentives on new would make it a better deal to get a new car.

Like people are saying… if you have the choice, get the new 23 GTPE. At 0% you will save a lot over the years. (For example $25k loan for 6yrs at 7.4% is over $6,000 in interest savings ($83/mo) ….. and there are deals out there close to $48k

I looked for a GTPE for over 6 months. Considered '22 and '23 models, new and used. A few points to consider:

MSRP's for the same GTPE optioned car can vary from $72K to $78K, depending on how the same optional equipment were worded.

I did a comprehensive 400 mile radius search, most Ford dealers were clueless about the MME GTPE pricing. As a rule of thumb, you want to see $30-35K off MSRP on a LOW mileage '22 or '23. Other than color, the only main purchase decision, is how many months/miles left on Factory Warranty.
I found a 23 GTPE with Every Option, with 3K miles, priced down to 45K (MSRP $78K) with Ford Blue Oval CPO warranty. Was not liking the Rapid Red Metallic Color.

I purchased a 22 GTPE, Cyber Orange, with 6.9K miles, that was purchased new in 2/23 (one year old per warranty activation), for $35K (MSRP $72K). It certainly wasn't a bargain, but dealer was 8 miles from my house. And I got a great price for my trade-in.
