2023 Owners: Does your front camera washer work?

(Full disclosure: I work at a Canadian Ford dealer - don't @ me if American-market models are different.)

I just checked in our internal "source book" for models - on 2022 Mach-Es, the front washer is listed as part of the Key Standard Technology on CR1 and above, because Selects didn't come with the 360 Degree Camera as standard.

On 2023s, the 360 Camera is standard even on Selects, but any mention of the front washer is missing...I bet they cost-optimized out the front washer when they made the 360 camera standard across the entire range.

I have a 23 and thought mine worked but now I'm going to check tomorrow. I may be confusing it with the one on our F150. EDIT : It doesn't have a front camera washer and neither does the Lightning I just purchased.

Be careful. They’re liable to ask for your VIN and dealership info so they can look into your concern on their end.

Yeh I realize that. They reached out to me asking for my info on a post I did about how my screen brightness slider won’t go past mid way. I assumed that account was bogus, but appears to be legit?

Hey fellow Mach-E owners!

I've seen multiple threads about the front camera having a washer, which activates when you wash your front windshield. However I've tried everything on my 2023 to get it to work, yet the front camera washer never pops out. I've seen a few 2023 owners mention the same, so my thought is that they quietly removed this feature from 2023s. It's also not mentioned anywhere in the owner's manual.

I'm curious if there are any 2023 owners who have had it confirmed working.

My front camera washer is ME cleaning it with my finger when it get dirty! Do you know something I don’t?

So if the 2023’s don’t have functioning front camera washer, then why did Ford even put the part next to the camera to begin with? Why not just remove that feature and it not have the cutout for where the washer would come out? Guessing it was an afterthought like us owning a 23 and not having the self parking + foot to open trunk.

Funny, here I was thinking that my hands-free lift gate sensor was just not working on my '23. Also, just now learning that Ford took away the camera washer too.

I did know about the parking button only because I asked the salesman about it during a test drive and he explained that the feature was cut. Sucks that one of the only physical buttons in the Mach-E is pretty much useless now.

Yes, @Ford Motor Company is a legit account. They can’t resolve issues, but they will try to get things moving in the right direction.

Because it's cheaper for them to continue to use the same grill assembly with the door in it. Ford continues to de-content the Mach E each year. I fear what a major refresh may bring. But hey, you can't build shareholder value if you don't cut some corners.

So true. Unfortunately, the corporate bean counters tend to win out in the long run.
