Hey guys,

I need some help and quick.

Could anyone tell me the difference between a 2023 versus a 2024 Mach E GT?
is there a big enough difference to justify the cost difference?

I’m purchasing/replacing a new Mach E tomorrow, and I’m thinking about the GT. I can’t afford the 2024 but can afford the 2023.

Any quick help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Sam

Need more information on the 2023 to answer: job1 or job2? Performance edition/upgrade or not?

Are you comparing the 2024 to a job 1 or a job 2 2023 (2023.5)?

I don't know all the changes, but the 2024 GT's get, the now defunct, Performance Edition seats. Also, I think the charging performance is a bit better in the '24s. Oh, the 2024's have an optional Bronze Package as well as the option to increase Torque output to 700 lb/ft.

I know there are other notable changes, but they escape me at the moment. I'll let someone else fill in the blanks.

I would recommend a 24 if you are a “spirited” driver. There’s a new motor + improved software that eliminates a lot of the performance complaints folks have had. Also a software performance upgrade package is available.

MagneRide and PE seats standard is also a real nice bonus.

Recommend 24. I have a 23.5 GT and I think the magneride is going to be worth the extra bucks.

Thanks.

I've pretty much decided against a 2023. With the improvements across all models in the 2024 line it just doesn't make sense to me.

If the one dealership accepts my offer on the 24 GT, I'll get it. If not I'll get the 24 Premium I had planned on.

The only thing I'm really after on the GT is the MagnaRide suspension.
The seats don't really impress me much but the power sure does but not necessarily needed.
My Premium was just fine.

I just don't know if I want to spend the extra $8500 for the GT.

I went back and forth with premium vs GT and would say if you can afford it and have any interest in the power you will NOT regret it. Plus the MagneRide is offers a nice improvement over the premium suspension.

If the depreciation weren't garbage, I'd trade my 23 for a 24 GT just to get the new rear motor and wiring/charging upgrade. I'm pretty sure I recall the 24s no longer having the 5s full power limit. But at this point I'm waiting for either something else new that's interesting or the addition of a heat pump and ventilated front seats (REALLY miss that ventilation from my 4Runner).

Like others have said, the 24 GT basically gets all of the things the 23 GT PE had (seats, brembos, magneride, etc) except for the torque bump (23 GT is 600, 23 GT PE is 630). Plus the rear motor/wiring/charging upgrades already mentioned. Sounds like you probably wouldn't need it, but there's also still a "performance" upgrade option - but it's a software unlock to bump torque to 700 ft lbs.

If you were to lease you'd get the $7500 tax credit . Would/could that close the gap and put you into the 24 ?

I'm not a leasing kind of guy, but thanks for the suggestion. I don't like owing anyone anything.

24s also come with 10 way adjustable seats!!! Magneride is super worth it, too.
MagnaRide is nice! The 10 way adjustable seat although nice, not a big deal for me.

Probably going to end up with the Premium.

And you can get a 2024 with 360 cameras and a metal roof, the way it should have been all along. Of course, the dealers all seem to be ordering the glass roof option for their stock. This would mean a special order to delete the extra weight. ??
