And you can get a 2024 with 360 cameras and a metal roof, the way it should have been all along. Of course, the dealers all seem to be ordering the glass roof option for their stock. This would mean a special order to delete the extra weight. ??
Ha! Sorry, I like the glass roof. I've never been bothered by the heat from it and really like the extra light. Although I must admit, from the front seats you don't really notice the glass except for the extra light.

My 21 had the 360 degree cameras unless I'm misinterpreting the 360 view.

Unless I am mistaken, your 2021 was a Premium, which came standard with the glass roof and the 360 cameras. In the 2021 GT, you could get the metal roof, but Ford coupled the glass roof to the 360 camera option. Ford bundled the glass roof and 360 camera options into the 2022-2023 GT as mandatory. The extra weight of a glass roof makes zero sense in a performance car. Ford has finally decoupled the glass roof from the 2024 GT, making the 360 cameras standard, while also offering more torque as an option. ??

I enjoy the extra darkness provided by the steel roof.

It depends on where you live and your priorities. I remember MachLee's winter testing showed that a steel roof car is 5 degrees warmer in the winter than a glass roof.

I actually have one of the rare 22 GTPE's with a metal roof but it was at the expense of the 360 camera and Blue Cruise.

Thanks.

I've pretty much decided against a 2023. With the improvements across all models in the 2024 line it just doesn't make sense to me.

If the one dealership accepts my offer on the 24 GT, I'll get it. If not I'll get the 24 Premium I had planned on.

The only thing I'm really after on the GT is the MagnaRide suspension.
The seats don't really impress me much but the power sure does but not necessarily needed.
My Premium was just fine.

I just don't know if I want to spend the extra $8500 for the GT.
I thought the 24 GT is only like $3k more than the 24 premium. What’s the $8500 difference you are quoting?

The biggest difference that you will notice would be the Magna ride. Make sure the 23 is Equipped with it, if not get the 24 where it is standard. The newer torque and Unbridled Extension are nice adds as well, but the Magna ride you will feel the difference every day.

Exactly why I got the 23 Prem, there was just not enough difference to justify the cost to me and what/where I drive my EV to.

I had the same dilemma, a went with the 2023 GT PE since it is currently at a lower price point with incentives and 0% financing. The 2024 GT’s small bump in power, Ford motor and slightly faster charging wasn’t worth the extra overall cost for me. The 2023 GT PE is plenty quick driving, has Magnaride and it is quick enough charging for my needs.

My single biggest regret on my 23.5 is not getting the Magnaride. I did not realize how horrible the every day ride is in this vehicle from just a 10min test drive. Had I known the 24 would include it standard I would have waited and as a bonus, you also eliminate that silly 5 second power drop plus several other perks. Seats, Faster charging, etc.

0-60 3.3 with the $1500 performance upgrade. Enough said. ?
For when 3.5 isn’t fast enough. ?

Still waiting for this to be independently verified.

Haven’t seen a 21-23 GTPE hit their number except on a prepped drag strip. Traction on the street will be a serious issue so real world I don’t expect the 0-60 to be any faster than the 21-23.

1/4 mile and 60-124 mph on the other hand……..

Last couple of times I used one of the iPhone race timer apps and got 3.9 in my GT. Not sure how accurate it is.
