2024 Mach-e GT
I just bought a 2024 Mach-e GT with the bronze appearance package. I love the wheels and the logos but the bronze grille is a bit much for me, so I want to replace it with a black one. Is there a way to get the grill off without removing the entire front bumper assembly? Also, preferably without damaging the existing grill?

If there's already a thread for this (or a YouTube video) I'd appreciate a link. I've been searching through the forums and found a couple threads that include the factory repair manual guides for removing the frunk insert and the entire bumper. Those threads seem to hint that there's a way to remove the grill without removing the entire bumper but I can't find confirmation about this or any details.

In my experience, no. And very nearly "no" for the second one also. I assume properly drilling out a bunch of plastic rivets and removing additional things from the rear of the bumper after you take it off makes it possible to really remove the old grille without damage, but it is just an awful process all around.

This whole thread has a lot of info but I also detail my process a little bit when I replaced mine earlier this year: https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...removal-instructions-how-to.19697/post-992719

0 out of 10, never recommend.

As ack154 mentioned above, no you cannot take off your grille insert without removing the front bumper cover. I have to say though, it's almost easier to take off the entire front bumper cover than it is to remove that grille insert. I've replaced mine 3 times (can't make up my mind on what I like) so I am used to it by now.

Personally I would just get a vinyl wrap for it unless you want the heavy 3D look of the OEM.

Damn.

Well I definitely appreciate the advice and the links. You've got me thinking that a vinyl wrap might be the way to go. I'm going to look into it more.
