Hi all
I leased a 2025 Premium back in July. Flawless, lovely car. I live bi-coastal at the moment, and the Mach-E sometimes sits in the garage for extended periods of time. Recently left it in the garage for 7 weeks. Started just fine, no issues with the 12V battery (i I left the HV battery at ~50% per the manual), didnāt plug it in.
When i returned, i noticed that it had an OTA update, and I thought great! Except that the software has been a bit buggy. Didnāt think much of it until i realized that the Data Sharing icon in the center display status bar disappeared. Turns out that little connection is responsible for quite a bit. Tried resetting Sync, but have not gone down the āfuseā routeā, or to disconnect the 12V (Iām not super handy).
I have an appointment tomorrow with the dealer. Short of a modem replacement, anything else you think might be going on?
PS - I should add that quite a few things donāt work. Lane centering isnāt available anymore. The system is slow to recognize local speed limits. The app stopped working / connecting (this was the initial pain point i suffered). The system can no longer ask Ford for OTA updates. I canāt toggle connected services on/off.
All of this is forgivable since i just enjoy driving the car, but it did amaze me at how one failure could lead to so many issues. Not exactly a great omen to drive this car without a warranty (assuming i buy it out later).
