2026 Auto-Dimming Exterior Mirror?

Never owned a vehicle with auto-dimming side mirrors, but it's a feature I would love to have.

The headlight glare from behind isn't as bad in my Mach-E with tinted side windows, but I used to adjust my mirror all the way out at night in my Subaru, especially when a tall vehicle was behind me.

At this point, I feel like auto-dimming side mirrors should be standard equipment in most vehicles. Headlights have only gotten brighter and harsher on the eyes.

My hope is that the US eventually adopts headlights regulations similar to the EU. I'd love to see Laser and ADB technologies available. Oh, and mandatory amber turn signal in the rear.

I’ve had them on other vehicles. They’re great. Ford dropped the ball by not putting them on the Mustang Mach-E
